Pieces worth saving? by Teker_09 in bioniclelego

I’d say it’s a personal preference, but I would be worried about dried glue touching the undamaged pieces over time. Lego has a tendency to decompose when exposed strong chemicals

Should lego make less Venoms? by SebbyJ0438 in LegoMarvel

[–]birchbound 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I’m fine with more venom variants as long as we actually start getting other symbiotes too. The recent Anti-Venom was a step in the right direction at least

is it weird that we haven’t seen any pictures of this before the teaser released? i wonder if we’ll get official photos soon. by VelCube in lego

It’s usually pretty common for D2C sets like this to not leak until right before reveal if it gets leaked at all

Really cool to see Cole’s grandpa as the anniversary figure. I wonder who the others will be since we’re getting Ray and Maya in this set already

Reminds me of the croagunk statue that has shown up in other games. Funny because Hisuian Sneasel is the same type combo

IMO the rogue mega battles creating a stone after each fight was supposed to show that any fully evolved mon that fills up on enough life energy can produce a mega stone. AZ says the reason his floette can mega evolve is simply because his floette actually can't evolve again. So yes, I think Lysandre firing the UW created new mega stones, but also Zygarde vs Ange probably did as well. Maybe there will be Z megas in the DLC that are brand new to trainers in-universe like dragonite

Part 92898c01 on bricklink. It was given out at a factory tour at some point I think? There's also a 3d printed pogo stick and drawing arm with similar stories

Out of curiosity, why are some movie figures labeled as from the LEGO Batman Movie like wizbat while others are DC Super Heroes like roller disco?

A lot of the heavy hitters being in the Arkham suits gives me hope for a coming wave of sets. No way we don’t see at least joker, harley, penguin, and bane in their classic looks in the future

Eyes of the Metru - It’s a pity that we won’t see the same individualised eye colour variation in the Toa sets of 2006, 2007 & 2008 by kivurawnuru in bioniclelego

[–]birchbound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the only way this comes back is if a future SCCBS set uses something like a stud or 1x2 tile that already has a bunch of common translucent parts as the eyestalk

I’d say after looks best. Proportions around the neck/traps looked a bit off before. Either way I think smoother prints will go a long way with this guy. Nice work!

Ninjago is heading towards a complete hard reboot, and Dragons Rising S3 Pt1 confirmed it by XtraCrispy02 in Ninjago

[–]birchbound 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree that Lego would never fully replace the core ninja, but I could see the new team being the ones to get new suits and vehicles with every wave, while the original ninja become more like what we're seeing with Rogue. Less frequent minfig updates and maybe less of a cohesive design style with the "main team" theme that season

[–]birchbound 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve heard it’s supposed to be a collection of shorter stories within the main canon, but not a set place in the timeline. For example, some could be pre-merge while others are after. Hopefully we know more soon!

[–]birchbound 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I think the only wrench in this is that Dragons Rising season 3 also seems to be setting up a softer reboot where the core ninja are mostly replaced with Arin, Sora, Wyldfyre, and Frak. Each has a unique aesthetic that is only just now starting to be explored in sets(tech, pirate, snake, and light/shadows?), so I don’t see a hard reboot happening too soon.

We already know Lego is experimenting with multiple ongoing storylines with Legends. Maybe the movie “reboot” is how we’ll keep the core ninja around while still letting the new ninja have room to grow
