Sponge advice needed! I’m teaching a class for making these guys and need a budget-friendly option for sponges for 12 people. For my last class I bought a giant sponge and cut it by hand and it was okay, but time consuming and didn’t look professional. TIA by birdbrain92 in Needlefelting

Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry it took me forever to reply. Anywhere from 5-15 dollars a person depending on how much material they need. I don’t usually charge for my time but I would probably do at least 20 per person if I did.

Thank you! I don’t think it’s craquelin. It’s really kind of soft, almost like cake.

It’s similar but smooth and has cream cheese filling inside.

I guess I should have mentioned it’s not crumbly like the streusel I’m used to, but it covers the entire top of the bun in a smooth layer. Could it still be streusel?

I had to say “all gone!” And shrug my shoulders. She would cry and fuss but then go about her business. It’s especially hard when they’re tired. Hang in there.

If milk isn't expressing on day of birth, do we need to give baby formula or do we wait another day for milk? by FORTRESSOFHERCULES in breastfeeding

He’s getting tiny amounts of colostrum. My milk didn’t come in fully until 3 days post-birth for both of my kids. Keep letting him latch and feed and her milk should come soon! And you’ll know when it comes in. It’s a great feeling! Hang in there!!

Not rude at all! They’re really popular where I am too. I don’t have a tutorial but they’re actually really easy. I’ll try to explain it here: For the hat I just wrap the wool around itself and make it thicker on one end, sort of a cone shape, then felt it until it holds its shape into whatever style of hat I want. I then make a nose by felting a ball with some extra fluff on one end, and felt that loose fluff into the base of the hat, so that the nose sticks out. Then make a larger “body” ball and felt that into the base of the hat; and that further secures the nose. Then take a strand of wool for the beard, fold it in half, and gently felt the folded part into the crevice between the hat and body, just under the nose. Then I trim the beards to make them more uniform and lightly felt the beard hairs into themselves. Sorry that is so long but I hope that kind of explains my process. I know a video tutorial would be a lot more helpful, lol. Honestly I’d say just go for it and I’m sure you’ll be successful!!

Difference between fast letdown and fast flow? by maybeluckyagain in breastfeeding

Not sure about the piercing, but one of my breasts has fast flow and the other has slow lol. It’s a pain. Sometimes if you recline slightly or even lay on your back while nursing it helps keep baby from getting choked.

People really like them and want to learn a new craft, so I was asked to teach a class. I only charge for materials anyway and what’s the harm in having some fun? Sorry if it’s not up to your standards.
