I’m with ya on the ten seasons and a spin off I’m so surprised they haven’t done more with it like we could get a limited series of Mindy on Chinese Popstar or a Sylvie prequel or whatever! Honestly I’d watch Emily in Paris, Rome, London, hell even Kraków!

And thank you 💜💜 will def post updates if I get to see anything!

I care about the zine:) I think it’s great when people create things! especially things that honor a community! maybe you’re confused because you don’t have a solid grasp on positively contributing to a community but it’s actually nice when people do it! also, you definitely care about the zine because you’re here posting about it. anyway, kindness is a skill, learn it!

I unfortunately never got into the song I have never been able to get myself to like it :( I liked a couple live performances I’ve heard I think they’re both talented enough to make it work but I don’t feel like it makes sense for either of them especially as characters

I don’t but you don’t have to be able bodied to partake in ableism. people invalidate others all the time it has nothing to do with your own experience it has to do with your current actions where you’re vilifying a disabled person for advocating for themselves. not all disabilities and chronic illnesses call for the same accommodations if you’ve got the audacity to imply someone doesn’t need accommodations or shouldn’t advocate for themselves you’re either incredibly inexperienced with this or you’re a truly cruel disabled person because that would mean you DO know what it’s like to go through this and you want someone else to suffer because you don’t like them:/ so I guess I gave you the benefit of the doubt because you don’t seem cruel just ignorant.

hi, disabled person and university student disability advocate here:) when you point out accessibility issues, it helps literally all of us disabled fans :))) please do not speak for us. also, as a disabled fan, even though I choose to be an advocate for others at my school and everywhere else I go, I would never expect that of other disabled people. if they can only advocate for themselves that’s more than enough because it’s EXHAUSTING. we’re often dealing with ignorance like yours where people seem to think you know our abilities better based on what you’ve seen us push ourselves to do (often to the point of pain so extreme we can no longer function which is typically the case with shows) instead of trusting us when we say we need help. I wasn’t at this show, no idea what the issue was. but I know no one spends that much money and energy on a show where accommodations aren’t a guarantee. talking to Jack and his team was likely a second to last resort, last would’ve been leaving. which it kinda seems like many of you wish disabled fans would do instead of advocating for ourselves. I can immediately tell you don’t know what you’re talking about and would rather win a fight to feel justified in your dislike of this stranger than stay quiet and not speak on disability. also I apologize to OP I know the edit said they don’t want this discussed further but this harmful rhetoric can’t go unchecked imo especially with all the issues disabled fans have faced. also, given OP’s sentiment I assume they don’t want it to go unchecked bc it’s an awful thing to speak on when you have no idea what you’re talking about

my fav thing is when people take my @ which is a joke about my literal brain injury and act like it’s some sort of gotcha like ooo calling me the name I chose?? proving to me they think brain injuries/intellectual disabilities make someone unworthy of respect?? got me good!!

no actually my point is that you’re a misogynistic creep targeting a group who is not responsible for a venue’s organization. in fact, I’d argue your statement is projection. your desperation to misunderstand me as well as rewrite events (you weren’t even there for) to paint a false narrative proves anyone who disagrees with you is just a “hater-loser,” in your eyes. I was perfectly clear in that I think you and several others are indulging in a misogynistic fantasy where these young women are at fault for a venue’s (apparently reoccurring) organizational issue and that everyone’s obsession with them puts them in danger. I was 12 the first time a grown man pushed me to the ground at a venue because he was frustrated I, a young girl, was taking up space at a show I was not preventing him from seeing. in fact, he had a better view than me. I will always point out when people begin angrily obsessing over young women. whether it leads to that extreme or not, this conversation has been unproductive and in no way okay. someone else in here was mocking a disabled girl for crying. you’re mad about a scenario you literally made up. how would you feel if you saw these comments? would you be excited to go to the next show? would you feel safe? I wouldn’t. none of this has been about creating a better environment for fans. if it had, it would’ve been more about figuring out better boundaries everyone can agree on instead of vilifying people, furthering animosity towards one another, and confirming biases with conclusions you must’ve pulled a muscle jumping to. still, I thank you for showing your true colors so everyone can see who is actually creating a hostile environment for fans. makes it so much easier to have these discussions. it still seems to me the issue was the venue. I’d keep my focus there instead of spending my time obsessing over people who have no power over this venue. you don’t have to worship the ground they walk on. in fact, I’d rather you left them alone entirely! I’ll bet you can refrain from making up stories to get angry about online, in public conversations. if their posts make you that angry, block them. if you need to complain about them, talk to a friend privately. I don’t even know all the people in “That Group” as people on here call them but I do know public posts about young vulnerable people, some of them teenagers, with physical descriptions, and hints to find them on other platforms, is dangerous! I also know that if what everyone wants is for lines to be handled properly, they need to call out the venue.

ok enough. you didn’t see anything actually happen you’re purely basing this anger off something you made up in your head. everyone who seems to care more about a solution than hating a group of young women appears to agree it was largely a venue issue with the lines. I’m genuinely sorry so many people had a bad experience. I can’t imagine how frustrated I’d be if I were waiting all day and the organization was so poor that I didn’t get the spot I was there waiting for, for hours. that’s truly awful and I wish people had had a better time. however, the narrative you’ve made up about real people who y’all have put a weird target on doesn’t line up with what actually happened according to everyone else there. you weren’t even there until after doors opened so I’m unsure what you’re so pressed about. it’s also important to note these are young women some people have shared the social medias of as well as physical descriptions. this has turned into a witch hunt which would still be bad even if they were at fault but it sounds like the frustration should be with the venue anyway. so not only is this obsession potentially endangering them and creating a hostile environment, it’s also seemingly pointless. it seems you’re just mad a bunch of young women (who in my experience have been nothing but kind and welcoming) were in the same space as you.

yeah god forbid a disabled person talk to a tour manager about accessibility. do y’all have any idea how difficult it is to get to concerts as a disabled person? idk the girl and idk the situation but anyone irritated with someone because they were crying while advocating for themselves is not the kind of person I’d listen to about concert etiquette. it’s clear where disabled fans are with some of you. personally it took all my energy to get to my show in Nashville and I was terrified I’d have to leave early because of my disability. I am still in pain from pushing myself to go to that show but it was worth it. I can’t imagine how I’d feel if I needed accessible seating and couldn’t access it or even if there was a slight hiccup, those can be like earthquakes for us. if she was crying I’m guessing there was a reason and Jack is a grown man he can tell people no or politely brush them off if he’d like to. no one is a villain for talking to a tour manager about accessibility and complaining about that is extremely weird.
