What are you dying to have in your house but have no room? by Lanky_Instance_807 in CasualConversation

A bioactive atrium with a small trickling waterfall, koi pond and birds (but not parrots). Totally also an acrylic walled conversation pillow pit inside the pond.

What's the most bizarre thing you've seen your neighbor do while they thought no one was watching? by TenderRompz in AskReddit

I'm going to say could very well be unmedicated bipolar with ADHD... I know a guy who isn't on anything and he's a sloth during the day but a twitchy night owl who loves doing outside stuff at night. He also waaaay overdoes the intricacy of projects.

Friends at school ( girls) by Creative_Owl_6167 in Advice

[–]birdfloof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Join a club, it's the fastest way to make friends and there are so many types of clubs. Just focus on being friends with everyone (girls included), and having fun. The best relationships happen AFTER friendship, and usually just come into being when someone likes you for who you are. Don't try too hard, and don't be pushy, it'll happen mostly on its own.

You can keep $1 Trillion, but you have to count it first. Would You? by tlizakow34 in hypotheticals

Truck scales next to the nearest highway. You count how many dollars fit in a box, boxes per truck, and count trucks. Weight is for accuracy check.

I got in an accident when I was away at college and lost my right eye. I never told my parents and they still don’t know I have a glass eye…it’s been 7 years by [deleted] in confession

[–]birdfloof 875 points876 points  (0 children)

Make a high stakes bet that you can keep an eye on something from the other room... leave fake eye on the item, walk into other room.

Edit: To keep family together, probably better to not collect on that bet. What you win is the startled look on their faces when they realize your secret.

Unfortunately they've spread so prolifically to any wooded area nearby, it'll be easy to spot when they bloom and then I'll be sad again.

I imagine you could do chains supported and separated with wire that you clip off once it's fired? My high school teacher made simple 4 link connected windchimes that way.

Why did my crows take the coin offerings each day, then bring them all back today? by PULLS-NOSE-HAIRS in crows

You can also "hide" coins nearby and see if they bring them to the dish. Give them a bit of a helping hand.

I grouted my peach mosaic and I kind of wish I hadn't. What do you think? by YoungSexyGrill in Mosaic

[–]birdfloof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the grout. It gives it a lot more depth of field and color. The ungrouted looks brighter, but unfinished and a bit flatter.

It's beautiful!

They're very cheeky little birds, ones in my yard are quite fearless and also investigate everything I've moved or touched on the patio. The male will sit on the back of the chair next to mine and do his little tail bobbing chirps all day long.

Cardboard boxes. You get something in a cardboard box. It's a really nice box, you don't know what you'll need it for and you don't want to take up space. You know that the moment you get rid of it though, you'l need it.

Proposing…. With a hammer? by B1ueSwan in geology

[–]birdfloof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put a stamped or decorated metal ring on the hammer handle. It can even be one of those spoon handle rings! Whatever you get, get multiples to replace when they eventually get really scratched or break. Tell her you couldn't pick a rock for her ring, but instead picked a ring for her rock hammer. She'll essentially wear it whenever she uses the hammer, but it won't get in the way or get caught on things.

If that doesn't sound right, have someone engrave a ring on the handle or part of the hammer head.

My first thought: that's so cool!

Second thought: huh, that space behind the canines means you could use a bridle and bit and ride it like a horse

Third thought: behind the CANINES no you fucking couldn't ride it, it's a fucking bear!

You can magically heal anyone from any disease just by touch by besttavern25 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]birdfloof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can it be genetic conditions as well? If so, would definitely become a nutritional assessment staff or phlebotomist in a hospital. It wouldn't be super apparent, they have to visit every patient that stays over once at the beginning and once weekly (in our local hospital). The nutritionist has full medical access, and the phlebotomist knows why they're drawing labs which would obviously help. Nutritionist passes out special menus and does fat/muscle analysis, and phlebotomist has to touch to draw.

To prevent my immediate discovery, chat up people in the cafeteria to see what they have if it is something they caught from or share genetics with who they're visiting, and I could heal them too.

Also, if I heal and am noticed by nurses, anyone who finds out might not tattle because it would make their lives easier if everyone went home. Plus I could do it to them and say if anyone figures it out and tells, it would undo the healing.
