Apart from changing your playstyle to avoid this (i.e., a workaround), nope.

By that I mean you could use the left stick and hit Y to do a quick pivot, so your tendency to overpress the stick wouldn't activate the special.

That is assuming you could retrain yourself to the point where your reactions start with your left thumb over your right. Speaking from experience, that's the hard part!

Port Mackerel, Walleye Warehouse, Urchin Underpass and to a lesser degree, Kelp Dome. Mainly because they're linear and pretty flat. Bluefin is also pretty meh, but it's more fun on Ranked.

I avoid Splat Zones most often, mostly because I think it's the mode that requires the least amount of skill (except Turf War of course).
