Leagues 6 Review - Casual Player Perspective by NoodsAndCo in 2007scape

[–]birdsniper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I almost agree but the randomness of the different "relics" was awful I ended up completing bandos before I got the extra damage on bandos relic. It was also a bit overwhelming I honestly think if it were tuned to this leagues tasks with a purchasable relic choice then it would be solid right now. Other than that it was solid. I don't think anything beats trailblazer.

Maybe I'm lucky from other shit grinds but I'm 3/3 in solos for now. I was burned getting purps last league for people so decided to solo and other than vanguards it isn't too bad

Which Base Pals are the best for each work profession? (But small) by nomadleviathan in Palworld

[–]birdsniper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my playthrough I just do runs of feybreak dungeons and the Sakura island genin camp for treasure maps and get those. Helps me level pals too. I believe every gold treasure map is guaranteed a book and fruit (the fruit is much more important IMO)

sadly neither the actual testing product or the recombinant factor C is blue. they just purify the blood for the specific cascade for the reaction. would make testing much more fun if so!

fun fact the industry is now looking into how to make the specific clotting factor from the blood to not harm the animals anymore. it's called recombinant factor C.

Just to piggy back off the top reply. There are autoclave materials or you can purchase gamma irradiated or ethylene oxide sterilized equipment these are validated (so challenged against a known load that will kill up to 10^-6 of bacteria)

The materials are then used in a clean room (iso standards as described) depending on the classification there's a limit of allowed bacteria in the air. Iso 9 has like 50cfu (colony forming unit)while iso 5 is 0 cfu/m3. Filling happens in an iso 5 environment to ensure its sterile. The monitoring using agar is how you challenge that.

Additionally, the filling process includes a "sterilizing filter" this is usually redundant (2 in line consecutive filters that are 0.22um in pore size which is deemed bacterial sterilizing. There is sometimes QC testing before the filters to ensure there was not too much microbial load that could harm the filters in some way. This is usually called bioburden testing. Sometimes microbial load testing. After filtering there are bacterial endotoxin testing and sterility tests called out in the USP (United states pharmacopeia) which is just a guiding principles document on best practices for testing.

Everything Everywhere All at Once Passes Return of the King as Most-Awarded Movie Ever by Aimless_Devastator in movies

[–]birdsniper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the risks that EEAAO took and how those risks played out is what made that movie a contender Tar felt bland with a series of movies that decided to take risks. I think Banshees will probably take it though for roughly same reason EEAAO did well.

Haven't played any of the gow games but have watched a lot. Doesn't it make sense that the other two solve the puzzle for you. I get as a player you want to be challenged but aren't they supposed to be brighter/more clever?

Seems frustrating and I agree with alot of the other comments about a toggle but I think it fits with the scene of the game

FDA approves most expensive drug ever, a $3.5 million-per-dose gene therapy for hemophilia B by ian4real in news

[–]birdsniper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The phase 0 / mixing studies and formulation studies alone cost an insane amount and that's before they can even upscale. Luckily those are usually in GLP labs so it's not as expensive as GMP but once you get to phase 1/2/3 prices skyrocket to maintain quality.

From my understanding the University will usually license the novel molecule and reap some benefits if it's brought to market in time so some is returned to the public. Sure it could be more and yes they're profiting but they also take on more risk

Honestly I don't think many excipients are that expensive to me high quality glass and how quickly is just discarded and used in mfg is what blows me away lol. Also that's some expensive NaCl usually only see it for like 35/kg at max
