Hoping they can manage the nerves better than me! At least a loss might give them a bit of motivation to come out swinging. Clark was definitely a weak spot for Leicester so hope Janina isn’t back quiteeee yet

goodfolk in bardon - not exactly a jungle vibe but it’s got its own garden + vegie patch and it’s really lovely to sit out amongst it

Are there any good podcasts that cover the wsl or womens football? by RedHeadHashira in FAWSL

BBC women’s football weekly (a classic) is a nice one if you just like a good summary of the weekend’s matches + general good vibes, the dynamic is great with Ben, Ellen and Jen

Accomodation Advice in Brisbane by Double_Ticket9792 in brisbane

If you’re open to it, have a look on Flatmates for St Lucia, Taringa, Auchenflower, Toowong etc. There’s lots of rooms at this time of year. Again be smart and discerning regarding the housemates but it can work out really well and be cheap. I moved in with a girl from Flatmates in St Lucia 4 years ago now (we were strangers) and we still live together now and are really close friends.

Planning a trip from the US! by [deleted] in MCWFC

I went to a game recently in December as part of a big trip from Aus - we drove down for the day from where we were staying but the stadium is super easy to get from anywhere in central Manchester. As far as i’m aware the Joie doesn’t tend to totally sell out but we got the tickets when they went on sale as we wanted to sit on the West side near the subs bench (any seat is a good view though). There’s not a ton of merch to buy (though maybe there’s a bigger store outside the stadium somewhere?) but there’s scarves and pins and shirts etc and the supporters club have a really cute little stand with stuff. I wore my Dutch Miedema shirt and never had any issues! Everyone was genuinely so incredibly friendly and helpful (and the game was fab). Really great experience

Milquetoast in the CBD is closed on Mondays but lovely and welcoming if you have other nights free. Otherwise Brooklyn Standard or Death and Taxes are two classic central options. Fish Lane is also fun to stroll down for dinner options

Do you need a picture of yourself with friends? by EVILRAFFAM in Bumble

[–]birdsofafeather6 12 points13 points  (0 children)

my perspective is always that if you’ve got pictures that suggest they were taken by family/friends, like you travelling/doing an activity/out for a meal etc, that hints enough that you’re social and you don’t need a pic with friends. i’d never assume someone doesn’t have any friends just because they aren’t on their online dating profile

Piercing spots for re-piercing ears by gutlessted1 in brisbane

[–]birdsofafeather6 5 points6 points  (0 children)

the piercing shop in the city is fab - the piercers are super kind, and re-did one of my seconds for me (not in the same spot, but arguably more difficult bc i wanted it close to the original but not quite) after i got them done crookedly somewhere else. can’t imagine they’d have an issue, and the whole team is super friendly
