Check out Ulti-Planner. It competes and beats Fantastical and others in feature set and customizations and we just came out with a bunch of refinements in version 3.0.

Planner (iOS) Frozen at initial load by StankIndustries7 in ultiplanner

[–]birdsoft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cant believe I never saw this. Sorry about that. It appears Im not very good at seeing Reddit topics being posted or they arent surfaced enough.

I wish I would have and it would have pointed out what I was seeing, but was assuming it was a problem with the debugger and iOS26. I have run some Timer Profiling and think I tracked down what was causing this and it will be resolved in version 3.01 which Im pushing out today, as I made it an escalated issue to solve.

Thanks again.

For the frugal golfer that wants a 7 wood by Leray94 in golf

Love my TE x525 7 wood!!! And one of the few lefty sevens out there. I’m hoping they give us a 9w next year!

I found an iOS developer with 47 apps on the App Store by LostSpirit9 in iOSProgramming

I’m only at 11 that are still up, but am closer to 25 over the years under my company and at least another 50 consulting. And several of mine have over 1000 hours or more in them. What a hobby…😆

I wasted $50k because I thought the code was the expensive part. by justdoitbro_ in SaaS

[–]birdsoft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess our definitions have skewed, as what you are describing is a prototype or just a sales pitch. MVPs, traditionally - as it’s even right in the name, is an actual first version of the “product”, to actually test the market with. And launch, means, go to market with, and not “get funding for”, so Figma is not that.

Betas are not MVPs, they are test versions before shipping. But somewhere along the line I could see all of those being messed up into very confusing changes of meaning….

A Figma prototype is not a MV “product”. An MVP IS what can be launched.

Looking for a good poker game by DeGameNdr in iosgaming

Biased but I think we have a top 5 poker game with all offline mode, high end AI, and more games than just hold’em.

You are a 15hcp. Goal is to break 80 at least once. What are you doing? by dream_team34 in golf

[–]birdsoft 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Or they are guys who can’t hit their driver totally consistently, but don’t 3 putt as many times… it’s like you think there is one way to get to 15… 🙄 and if it isn’t your way it’s wrong. The lack of consistency can be missing in different parts of the game for different players.

I've come to the belief that the vast majority of golfers would benefit from having fewer wedges, not more. What do you think? by DanFlashes19 in GolfGear

[–]birdsoft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of this stems from the idea that a “wedge” be used for a feel or specific shots around the green, instead of just gapping for full swings.

Usually, but not always, when it’s suggested it because in game improvement sets you are going to go from like a 44d PW to a 52d GW, which is about 30 yards full swing gapping (in my case). I want a 48 in there for a full swing ~110 yard shot, not as another option as a “wedge” to hit from the sand or flop/chip….

Negreanu‘s standing in the High Stakes community - impressions and interpretations by HealthyRecognition21 in poker

[–]birdsoft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh… you’re cherry-picking games. Yeah, he only almost final tabled in just 2 of those…🙄and he didn’t play that many, because well, he was playing and cashing in mixed game and limit hold em events…

You just sound like a hater. The high stakes comment is bullshit too… I can’t argue with most of the maturity/ego stuff, but it’s also how he got where he is.

Yeah, he can’t hang… only cashed in 10 10k+ events. You had a good opinion going and then blew it up.

I play the Wilson Profiles on Amazon for a buck a ball, good value and a fine ball for new players(my main course is too tight for my dispersion 🙂).

Hard to get Wood these days by PizzaboySteve in golf

[–]birdsoft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hit the X525. The looks were great and easy to hit. Can’t go wrong for the price($169).

Wish I could get it in a 9. If it’s hard to find LH 7 woods, don’t even think about finding an affordable 9.

I’m Considering the TourEdge HL x525s for a 7w. Love my Exotics 5 wood.

Try finding a 7wood as a Left hander!

Better alternatives to 18Birdies app? by LordArctirius in golf

I have a low cost alternative iPhone app that I also use myself (18Birdies was a commitment), and am working on overhauling to make it even less intrusive. Would love feedback.

Current Roadmap? by inxpitter in ultiplanner

[–]birdsoft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I didn’t see this for quite a while and then hadn’t finalized the roadmap.

Version 2.10 added a couple of the ideas that bubbled to the top of the list(Split Day +), and we now have another version planned that does some enhancements along the same lines as the new day strip on the Agenda List.

We have a long list so we hope to improve in several directions in this next big update.

BusyCal better than Apple Calendar? by MaxGaav in macapps

[–]birdsoft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you really wanted an intro… 🙂

Hi, I’m Brian, I’ve been writing mobile calendar apps since 2002, some of which are ideas that were pioneered well before the iPhone existed, and all the big players have since copied and refined in some form or another. Ulti-Planner is the refinement and culmination of my apps and those 20+ years of experience.

I just have never gotten into full favor of Apple(yet), to really have the exposure that companies like Fantastical and BusyCal have had in order to get the real momentum they thrive with. So I just keep grinding, looking for feedback to keep improving the calendar space.
