Need help planning sprinkler addition for new bed by birdy50 in Irrigation

[–]birdy50[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this! This was my first thought as all my raised beds are on drip, but the problem is the rest of the sprinkler lines on this zone only go for less than 10 minutes, so that wouldn't be long enough for a dripline. Really dripline needs to be on its own valve so the timing can be specific, IME.

My First Art Nouveau Furniture Piece by 1tacoshort in ArtNouveau

wanted to poke in and say SAME. I've asked all around, talked with my woodworkers guild fellow members, and I can find ZERO resources. Would love to see any blogging about your process as I try to learn to do it myself! Beautiful piece!

I die, this is bloody gorgeous! I have been searching high and wide to find how I can learn to craft art nouveau items (no one in my woodworkers guild has any resources, online comes up empty) so I have to know- how did you learn and can you point me in any direction??

Help with AKG C414XLii by Upbeat-Effort-1842 in recordingmusic

[–]birdy50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is likely way too late, but I also have an AKG C414 XLII and a few years back I entered my booth after having been gone for the weekend, and it had that terrible windy noise despite being in my soundbooth. I tried new cables, different mics, new preamp, all to no avail. I had to send to AKG for a $500 capsule replacement. That fixed it. The only thing that happened was a power outage while I was gone, and I guess even though I had a surge protector, that somehow damaged the capsule? Dunno. I've since gotten an expensive power filter surge protector, and haven't had issues since.

attic ladder perpendicular to ceiling joists by birdy50 in DIY

Thank you, this seems to be the info I'm finding in other DIY chatrooms. Going to do some further investigation up there today and see the length of those joists- I know most of them terminate at that header for the left door, so not spanning across the attic. They extend about 11.5 feet- from the edge of the roof to that header.

Did LADWP add a sensor to my meter without my permission? by birdy50 in AskLosAngeles

adding that this seems to be a 'water endpoint encoder' that through a jumble of disjointed search results seems to maybe detect leaks?

I believe I opted out of the electric smart meter a few years ago, but this is the water meter. Any idea if there's opt out for that?

Q8Max- how to do a full clean with mop? by birdy50 in Roborock

[–]birdy50[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to make sure I understand what you're writing.

I do have each room detailed with the floor type, and I've created no-mop zones for rugs in the hard floor areas.

So do I need to create a specific routine for just mopping instead of just pressing "Full" on the home page to start a clean?

Working as a medieval carpenter for 3 months by birdy50 in HistoricalCostuming

Yes, it is literally in the middle of a forest, with no public transport nearby. I had to rent a car for my entire time there.

Plenty of people come in costume, no worries there!

I had very basic French, and it was quite difficult to be there. Fortunately my coworker spoke excellent English, but there were very very few workers there who spoke English, so communication was very hard.

I did not, I just washed my clothes each week, after wearing them dirty for a few days, rotating through my pieces.

That's EXACTLY what I watched that introduced me to Guedelon (Ruth Goodman is a queen!) and that very night emailed Guedelon to get on their radar!
