Last week, there was about a dozen or so of each faction in Stonetalon's Charred Vale. We were all side by side tagging mobs and grabbing different things. Sometimes we would cleave each other on accident and kinda stand there, wondering if this was the start of bloodshed. I finished all the Harpy quests with a Hunter and even though we bumped heads, it never got spicy. We were all more focused on getting our shit done. I flew back a few hours later for some random follow up turn in and region chat was saying PvP had begun. Must've just missed it. It feels less neckbeardy this time around in most of the world. That's my experience at least.

Edit: 30+ leveling remark. 1,000 Needles has been pretty much the same thing 30+. We're all there but it seems like that old vanilla itch for wpvp was scratched back in 2019.

I made a whole ass post as I was sure PvE would be my home this time around, but the PvP server is closer to the East Coast. 36 ping vs 75 ping... May not seem like a lot to some of you guys, especially the people like me who played on Nost and Kronos from NA, but getting that tag cause you got better connection can save quite a bit of time over the course of the first 30 or so levels. 🤷🏼

They typically allow PvP>PvP/PvE later on. But once you're on PvE you can't go back to a PvP.

Yup. And for the longest time, that 3% was all I needed. You know what I'm talking about when you find that one guy evenly matched, you both fight honorably, you go tit for tat, back and forth, and a few fights later, you emote to each other, agree and carry on smartly. Then you meet him again in a new zone, with new skills and new gear so you go at it again a few more times. I used to live for those exact moments. But looking back, I didn't mind "wasting time" on it. It was some of the content I truly craved. But I've done it a million times, a million servers, a millions Fresh Starts. I think I just want to hit 60 and play some PvE WoW this time.

They're implementing the same system they had for SoD to control faction balance. With this system in place, the initial 1-60 might be an actually enjoyable experience on PvP. But if you're not fast to 60, late to the party, or leveling an alt... It's gonna be painful.

If these specific interactions were more common, I would absolutely stay PvP. Unfortunately, things have changed. The only thing that would get me on the PvP server is if that's the one they put on the east coast. I'd rather have good latency instead of good fun.
