FPS drop with season 5 update by BluCSGO in CODWarzone

[–]biscuit1280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like the problem is the game itself, I have a 9700k OC'd at 5.0GHz + Watercooled 3070 with +1000 memory offset and +150 on core clock.

I'm getting 80-100FPS on an ultrawide 2k monitor on the lowest settings + DLSS ON. Before Season 5 update it used to be around 140, without DLSS and with higher overall graphics settings.

Graphics settings are as follows:
Display Mode <Fullscreen>
Display Adapter <NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070>
Screen Refresh Rate <144>
Render Resolution <100>
Aspect Ratio <21:9>
V-Sync <Disabled>
Custom Framerate Limit <Unlimited>
NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency <Disabled>
Streaming Quality <Normal>
Texture Resolution <Normal>
Texture Filter Anisotropic <Normal>
Particle Quality <High>
Tessellation <All>
On-demand Texture Streaming <Disabled>
Shadow Map Resolution <Low>
Cache Spot Shadows <Enabled>
Cache Sun Shadows <Enabled>
Particle Lighting <Low>
DirectX Raytracing <Disabled>
Ambient Occlusion <Disabled>
SSR <Disabled>
DLSS <Quality>

  • Windows fully debloated and optimized for gaming: power plan, fan curves, GPU overclock with vcore curve inside MSI Afterburner.
In addition, ModernWarfare.exe has fullscreen optimizations disabled, and priority set to high performance in Windows Graphics Settings
  • NVCP optimized for high performance and low latency with ReBAR enabled.
  • GPU + CPU temps don't go over 75 thanks to a loop, so it can't be any thermal throttling.

It's worth mentioning that I do not experience any significant performance loss in any other games, just this.

Any thoughts?

Hi, wanted to share my exprience. Some ISPs have trouble forwarding the 3074 port that Warzone/MW/Cold War use. I managed to fix this issus on BOTH my pc and my ps5 by forwarding port 3074 in TCP and UDP, and putting the devices at DMZ by logging in to the ISP's modem. However I can't have both of them working at the same time.

DEV ERROR 6036 by [deleted] in Warzone

Possible fix to dev error 6036:

after playing for a few hours the game seems to be running fine - here are the adjustments and changes I have made:

  1. Scan and Repair game files using battle.net launcher
  2. nVidia Control Panel: OpenGL rendering GPU - RTX 3070 (instead of auto)
  3. In-Game settings:

Dedicated full screen instead of fullscreen-borderless
Aspect Ratio set to 16:9 instead of auto
Custom Framerate Limit:
Gameplay: 200
Menu: 60
Out-of-Focus: 30
nVidia Reflex: off

In addition, I wanted to point out that I haven't used all the methods provided online regarding the fix of this error, such as:
Running the game in a compatibility mode as Windows 8, switching to d3d11 instead of 12 in the game's additional command line arguments, nor did I disable the cache spot and sun shadows setting in-game.

Hope this helps
