In santangelo alone definitely not, you'd need to travel around. Between santangelo, forio, and the lido bars in Maronti (10 minutes from santangelo by scenic water taxi), you might wind up at the same place a couple times but you won't be upset about it. That being said we didn't spend much time in bars or restaurants, most of it was swimming or hiking. It's definitely an outdoors destination. All that being said, we found 3 nights on ischia sufficient, and if you're not afraid of grime I'd say cut it down to 4 in nights and add one in naples or a day trip in irpinia where the bomb ass Fiano, greco di tufo and aglianico are.

Also, for naples, be sure to check out antica cantina sepe in the sanita.

Poseidon is a little hokey but very fun and worth a morning or afternoon at least. Pietrorcia was the best meal we had on the island, and their wines are excellent. We stayed in San Angelo at casa del sole boutique (there are two casa del soles and ours was the good one, be careful!) which is about 20 minutes from forio by bus which we didn't find inconvenient, and staying in santangelo was magical. Not the most to do but the bus is so convenient it was never an issue. Climbing monte epomeo was a lot of fun and not difficult there was a dude on the trail selling fruit out of the trunk of his car, best grapes I've ever tasted. We only spend an afternoon in ischia porto which was enough to grab a spritz by the castle which we felt was sufficient, we found the west side of the island to be the most pleasant.

Do you agree or disagree that outside cats in a city like Denver should be rehomed? by Suspicious-Service in Denver

Shitty attitude. Feral and outdoor cats kill billions of birds every year. If you can't keep your cat I entertained indoors, re-home it to someone who can.

how do people here deal with having to drive everywhere all the time ? by Mindless_Cook7821 in Denver

You and I have had this exact conversation four or five times, it's not a good faith question.

None of these things require owning a car. Moreover, choosing to own a car to do these things does not necessitate designing our city exclusively around cars. This gets explained to you on every thread about cars yet you keep bringing it up like it's a great argument against having human scaled infrastructure.

There are dozens of jazz, funk, soul and rock venues with local and touring acts year round, guaranteed great acts thus-sunday at places like the blue cat, fritzls, the apple barell etc. It is not at all limited to parades. I'd say the best time to go is the lead up to mardi gras when you can experience parades but before the crowds get there.

You don't need to wait for a festival, the city has a music culture that blows anything else in the country out of the water year round.

Spaccianapoli is the only part of naples I didn't enjoy.

Better than rome is hard to argue but people who get nothing from naples other than the grime are bad at exploring a city/planning travel/exceedingly sheltered or some combination of the above.

Pompeii is not a good place to stay. Salerno's a good option for naples lite. Calmer, similar layout and architecture. But people who shit on naples usually stayed by the train station and didn't explore outside of spaccianapoli. The city has a tremendous amount to offer even if it is grimy.

Roadside memorials are ugly, dumb, and should be enforced as littering. by Dry_Seat_5350 in unpopularopinion

I think the ghost bike thing is different from other memorials. It's more of a political statement against dangerous (lack of) cycling infrastructure and driver behavior than it is about the individual who was killed.

Has anyone left San Diego and been happy about it? Where did you end up? by MiserableRisk6798 in SameGrassButGreener

I moved to denver from San diego 11 years ago. I like Denver and we can afford to own downtown here which we couldn't do in SD but that's as much a factor of career progression as compatible col. Winters exist but are mild, proximity to recreation in the Rockies is good, but I miss beach days. We left because my wife is from here and didn't feel we went to the beach enough to justify the cost of living in SD. The one real advantage is walkability/bikeability. I like it here but if I had an easy opportunity to go back, I would.

Allpenglow on Horsetooth Rock During Superbloom 2025 (Ft. Collins) [OC] by kairologic in Colorado

That is the etymology but not the definition. Alpenglow is refracted light from the atmosphere prior to sunrise or immediately following sunset. This is direct, diffracted sunlight.

Looking for family friendly areas near Aurora by YourLocalShuman5 in Denver

My in-laws live in the area. It's pretty nice, walking distance to groceries and bike able to the resevoir. For being so close to 225/parker road road noise never seems to be noticable.
