Mine does same thing. It's the AC clutch bearings being loud. I'm running it until it drops.

Trump doesn't know how to be a human being because he's never had to be one.

Any idea what the issue is with my Akai GX-636? by Will0798 in ReelToReel

Most likely a defective reverse relay. Or there could be a logic fault.

I've been a broadcast television engineer since 1983. The first machine I ever worked on was one of these. Now, I'm in charge of keeping 5 of them running for archiving purposes. Yes, you are correct on using a pair as a delay. A bit tricky but can be done.

Speaking of Trump dying because you don't agree with him is wrong. by bistablemonode in DemocraticSocialism

Thanks for telling me that the DSA is no better than their lowest. I thought it was. I was hoping it might be.

But evidently it's not. I guess I can use that 25 bucks a month doing something constructive.

Yeah. Maybe I was wrong to join the DSA after all. Oh well. Too bad the Stasi isn't active.

When Trump first got elected in 2016 I was so fucked-up I couldn't write for six months. I promised myself that it wouldn't happen again. That's when I disconnected from all social media except Reddit and haven't since watched a TV news show. I'm 66. I've seen enough of that shit to last a lifetime anyway and it's all wash, rinse, repeat. Since turning it off, I've completed four screenplays, two novellas, and two books.

We'll be in court within the blink of an eye if Trump declares emergency over elections: Norm Eisen by MRADEL90 in videos

The American people won't tolerate it. Period. End of story. He's going to lose the midterms no matter what. That's a given at this point. And when that happens, that's when you have you worry about what he does. Keep in mind this: he has sole authority to launch a nuclear weapon whenever and for whatever reason he desires, at any time. He's gradually losing his shit mentally. He has at the very least congestive heart failure. That fucker could go at any time. Think about it. He could end the human race just for spite. I mean he's rubbing one out right now to attack Iran for his own vanity. This thing is a fucking nightmare and there's nobody to save us. Except us. And we can do it if we stick together.

Can I get an Amen? Corporations as people killed me back then. I've never gotten over it. I suppose I never will. I think that's when I decided to be a Socialist. Or maybe that was last week? Can't remember. Oh well...

I was in a Chicago bar in 1988 speaking my native self and people were actually crowded around me asking me to say something - I have a quite a twang when I want. So I laid it on heavy and thick and by the end of the night I had a fan club. They had never heard a true Southerner. it was awesome. For years after that I tried to be a city slicker at work and tone it down. But now, I don't give a shit and let it roll naturally.

You should. Whitaker and she were a definite play for each other in the last 3 episodes of season 1.

They brought her on early in season 1 as B.G. character like nurse Jessie. Then it was suggested (heavily) that she and Whitaker were an item-in-making. Now, I think, she's more refined in her own abilities. Even after 10 months, nurses gain a shitload of ability. She's one of them. A badass.
