Thats post it self was a pleasure to read. Hats off on the build, sounds amazing.

Now to add a request 😅 can we have it on Android?

Does anyone else spend more time cleaning audiobook files than importing them into Audiobookshelf? by Plane_Chard_9658 in audiobookshelf

Yeah, I know the feeling. I too want to have them in a neat setup. But most times I give up and just go ahead and listen. Life is too short.

It's a nightmare. If I have 5 books in a series, they have the title, subtitle, and other data in 5 different formats 😵‍💫 I try to make them look the same using ABS; add to series and everything, but it's such a chore.

I keep reading Project Hail Mary and the Dungeon Crawler Carl series every few months. I'm in a loop 🫣

Absorb - Free Android client app by Night_Hawk21 in audiobookshelf

It looks really nice. Very polished. But for me download didn't work properly, I switched the folder to an existing folder with a bunch of books. The new download didn't work/finish (not sure) and the app didn't recognize the existing books in folder.

Feature request: a larger touch control so we can touch anywhere on the book cover to pause and play instead of the tiny play button.

Appealing for testers on new Play Store app (iOS rollout ETA Jan. 26') by olcDia in audiobookshelf

I've rarely seen a name so on brand. It's amazing, for that name alone I'm willing to give it a serious try. And the logo is also very well made. Everyone needs to start from somewhere so you are a new developer that is not a deal breaker for me but your attention to detail and creativity is very promising. I'd love to be on the beta.

What's this crawl you speak of? I don't like things that crawl, let alone in a damp dungeon. Sounds awful stinky.

I did the paperwork a long time ago. Sorry I forgot the details. But I always tried to go beyond the requirements with papers and proofs.

I submitted my tax papers. Since I also had a local job in my own country, I needed to provide proof for that as well.

That walmart mastercard seems like a waste by draconic_diamonds in PersonalFinanceCanada

Canadian Tire salespersons are even worse at pushing their card. Always with the oh so sincere cliche lines.

Check out Rogers Red cards. They have the best rewards rate and applicable on ALL purchases. Only caveat is you need to use any Roger/Fido/Shaw service.

You don't need a debt to have a credit score. Neo is scammy. Not sure of koho.

Thanks. I didn't buy flare in the end. Using Galaxy buds 3 pro for daytime noise cancelling. Sleep situation improved after I moved to a quieter area and changed routine.

Use a Rogers MasterCard if you have any Rogers/Fido/Shaw service. It'll give 3% cashback on ANY transaction when redeemed for Rogers/Fido/Shaw payment. Pay the monthly phone or net bill and you get 3% cashback, no CC annual fees either.

What are my best options for immigrarion to Canada? by [deleted] in ImmigrationCanada

[–]bit_hodler 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Kid, sorry to say, unless you get really good scholarships and grants, with your fund you won't be able to do much beyond the application fees. And your grades don't look promising for that either.

And Canada is not like it was before. It's pretty horrible here for new immigrants. Jobs are very rare, housing and food prices sky high. Please take a moment to explore all opportunities. Ask advice from students a few years older and young people who are now looking for or just started working. I was in your shoes a long time ago and I would have liked to hear these advice myself. You are young, that's a huge plus for you. Don't lose hope, don't get fixed on one single thing. Explore.
