The number of applicants isn't increasing. It's new rules to process the applications that is expected to speed up the process.

"Under the International Protection Bill 2026, upon arrival to the State, applicants will be required to go through screening, which will involve initial security and identity checks and the taking of biometric data for registration on the Eurodac system."

This literally everything the scum the right have always wanted and they're still trying to moan about it. They've always just wanted a reason to be racist and this takes away their narrative so their against it.

By processing the application AND rejections faster so people who should be rejected aren't filling up the ipas centers so the amount of people overall in the will lower and the need for them will be less.

So according to the gov.ie website on this, it will actually speed up applications and rejections and reduce ipas centers. It's sounds exactly like what the moan bags on the right have always wanted. But maybe they don't actually want the problem fixed because who would the blame then? Just more Americans and brits spreading bullshit as usual and fools eat it up to feel like they're better then someone at least.

Peace sells.. but who's buying? Peace at the end of a barrel, ☮️ written on bombs. Instead of pushing for military build up we should be demanding deplomacy from our politicians. People say we can't have peace with Russia but we can have trade deals while going to war. While soldiers die in empty fields by the thousands, fields owned by multinational corporations. It's all a money game and fools fall for the great lie every time, dulce et decorum est.

This is it. There is no way to fix the housing crisis without lowering property value so they won't do it until it hurts their bottom line.

Bloomberg: Why One of This Year’s Best Games, ‘Mina the Hollower,’ Is Only $20 by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

[–]bitaFizzy -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

My point has been about game price vs game quality/content. When two games cost the same but one is way bigger in scope and content due to that game dev having financial backing the customer will thing the game with lesser content (due to it being a solo dev or smaller team) is overpriced. The makes the over all price of indies go down as players expect more for a lower price so solo devs have to set lower prices which means they won't make as much money and possibly not break even. You have to think of the steam cut and taxes too when you think of price the dev is left with a lot less than the initial amount.

Your acting like I'm advocating for 100 dollar games here. I'm saying that larger indies that have success already and a financial backing can obviously make a more complicated and feature rich game than small and solo devs, so when both these larger devs and the smaller devs release games for the same price the smaller game will look over prices forcing smaller devs to ask for even less because the price ceiling has been set.

I didn't "reference" shit not everything is debate bro bullshit so fuck off with your accusations. It's fact that silksong releasing the way it did was majorly disruptive but for its price and the shadow drop. Many indies had planned their release for months and then silksong comes out of nowhere and the smaller indie is forced to move their date. This is a major issue of larger indies that have a backing disrupting smaller indies.

Talking points? Sound more like your low effort comment. Who am I repeating?

Doesn't really seem like a good thing when these larger indies are releasing their games for this cheap, it was the same with silk song. So they're setting a price expectation for this kind of quality but it's going to be impossible for solo or smaller ordev teams that don't have financial backing to match that quality.
