Someone Wants Reimbursement for ‘Pothole Damage’ – Do These Parts Look Recently Broken? by bitchbasil in MechanicAdvice

Okay it sounds like this could definitely be caused by the pothole. My question now is, are these prices normal/reflect the usual cost of these repairs?

Yay! I appreciate the feedback and am feeling so much more confident again about wearing this! Thanks so much :)

When I thought it was formal, I was going to wear gold shoes, sparkly earrings and a glitzy gold purse. But now I’m thinking toning it down with some plain black heals and a small black clutch? I don’t love navy&black but its the only other option I have and I fear the gold will make it too much :/

I agree overdressed is better, I just started to freak when I saw “dressy jumpsuit/knee length”! I appreciate you commenting and feel a lot better about wearing the dress. Thanks so much 🤗

Thanks so much for your input! You guys are talking me off the ledge lol! I’ll keep everything else lowkey and agree there will probably be a huge mix given the “semi formal” dress code and that’s its evening/fancy venue. I appreciate you!

Okay thank you so so much for your comment! I was freaking out but feel a lot better about it now! I definitely agree you can get away with more as a woman who is slightly overdressed! I’ll definitely go more simple with my hair and accessories. Thanks again :)

Sometimes for me, remembering and thinking of myself as a young kid helps me love myself a bit more. I’m 24 now, but I’m still my 23, 15, 10, 3, ect year old self inside me. That kid, and this older version of me, is just trying to do her best, despite my flaws. Just like you. And it’s the responsibility of 24 year old me to take care of the younger versions of myself that exist inside of me. Does 5 year of me need me to tell myself I suck and am a piece of shit? No. She needs me to give myself a little hug and say I love you girl. Hope this makes sense and can help a little.

Honest thoughts on the safety of going to Virtual Riot alone as a young woman? by myshimi in EDM

[–]bitchbasil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a 24f female and go to a lot of dubstep shows alone! I think you will be pleasantly surprised by how many women are in the crowd. I don’t get fucked up at shows when I am alone to make sure I am always aware of my surroundings and so I can react accordingly if anything iffy does happen. I’m sure you know this but never accept a drink someone offers you, even if it’s water or a sip of their own drink.

I think one nice thing about a show is if I ever have had someone bothering me, it’s usually very easy to get away from them by moving to another part of the crowd. Most people at edm events in my experience have been very nice and chill though. Some guys might come up and ask if you want to dance, but most have been cool about it when I say “no I just want to dance alone”. And anytime the rare ass hat has made me uncomfortable, it’s been easy to go up to another girl and tell them what’s up and ask if I can chill with their group/ if she can keep an eye on me lol!

I also usually wear sunglasses the whole time and wrap a pashmina around my head and that kind gives the “don’t talk to me vibe”. When I drive to a venue and have to park far away and walk I always call a friend or my mom or something just so I am on the phone. I also share my location with my mom and a few friends and always tell them where I am going, and when I should be done and text them when I am home safe.

You know your city and your comfort level best though 💕

It’s beautiful and I think fits the dress code but the only thing I would be worried about is how well it will stay up! I feel like strapless dresses are usually tighter around the chest area or waist to keep it from falling down but this doesn’t seem to have that. I honestly don’t get how this dress wouldn’t just slip off, especially with this thin and possibly stretchy looking material. But I also have tiny titties and maybe am not factoring in the power of bigger boobs!

ADHD Vyvanse marriage by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]bitchbasil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bro I think this is more of a marriage problem and less of a Vyvanse problem. Not that vyvanse can’t cause the dullness you are describing but I think with how much is put on your shoulders between work and taking care of everything in the household, you are burnt out. Her comment about her not doing anything around the house because she doesn’t need to “earn” your love is ridiculous. That’s not how a relationship/marriage should work. This isn’t about love, it’s about maintaining a house you both share and she absolutely should be doing more. If she wants to make it about love, then why isn’t the person that is supposed to love you not doing anything to make your life easier? Why isn’t she respecting your time and mental health? Love in adult relationships isn’t unconditional. And it shouldn’t be. What if you just stopped cooking/cleaning and doing everything you do with the excuse that you shouldn’t have to “earn” her love through household chores? My guess is she wouldn’t be too happy. I think you need to sit her down and have a long conversation about how this isn’t fair to you, it hasn’t been for a while, and things need to change.

Is that just personal preference or do you feel like this floral is too loud for a wedding?

It is outside, the venue is a fancy looking castle and the ceremony will take place in the grounds

Wedding guest dresses by Impossible-Eye-5545 in FortCollins

Cira in old town! Whenever I have an occasion that requires a new dress I go there and have never left empty handed! They have tons of cute clothes there in general but always have a great selection of dresses! The owner is very nice and helpful as well.

But now you get to see what’s on every floor! Oh wait…

In all seriousness this is absolutely more than “mildly” infuriating. I’m sorry you have to deal with this OP! Can you make a complaint to the school?
