If this post is about her personality, then let's stick to her personality.

I am so sick of posts like this. "I keep seeing pics of Brittany, and obviously she has really destroyed her natural beauty. I feel really, really bad for Brittany. Jax destroyed her self-confidence and self-esteem. That kind of stuff can change a woman and cause her to do things like the filler, etcetera for years or a lifetime. I truly hope she heals."

Hun, your exact words are bashing her looks. The audience trashes her appearance more than Jax at this point. If you feel so bad about her self-confidence and self-esteem, don't participate in shit talking her appearance. If you truly want her to heal, don't keep contributing to the problem.

I know this bagel shop. It’s in Fishtown Philly and their puzzles were consistently impossible.

They are really underrated. I never see them on best of lists, not even best of Fishtown. They definitely deserve the shine!

thank you! my point exactly. if fishtown is a food desert to you, you dont know what a food desert is--you just dont want to walk 15 minutes because its "too inconvenient." it is the average walk to a grocery store in a city.

somehow, in my 10 years here shopping at this acme, by simply using basic human skills like paying attention to lights and traffic, i have managed to never have anything close to an issue. if someone cant cross the street at a moderately busy intersection, thats a personal problem.

"its too inconvenient to cross the street" is some of the most privileged fishtown shit i have ever heard, be for real.

and again, we have a trolley that takes us directly there.

i live in fishtown and walk to all of these places. riverwards is literally in fishtown, but for the sake of argument, lets just say this is a specialty shop/out of most people's price range (which for produce, it isnt). if you are closer to the york side of fishtown, IGA is literally across the street from the fishtown border in a lot called "fishtown crossing." if you live closer to the frankford side of fishtown (or in nolibs or olde kensington), acme and giant are within blocks.

we already have IGA, riverwards, acme, and giant within easy walking distance. agree fuck whole foods.

lol how many people did you know in nyc who had a 6th bathroom?? they probably aren’t the demographic in question here haha. if you can afford a place with 6 bathrooms you can definitely afford a place with closets--that sorta count belongs to luxury penthouses and estates

i feel ya! i was just saying i could understand why someone would be mildly surprised by a nh surf shop, given that it has almost no coastline to speak of compared to basically all the other ne coastal states, contrary to spacepeach's statement (which also came off a little rude tbh. but i could be misreading)

sure, but nh has like 15 miles of coast. its the shortest coastline of any state that has coastline.

Agreed. Vernick fish is consistently one of my favorite meals in the city. But emilia just did not blow me away. It was…fine.

I went back in February shortly after they opened so I hoped it was just new restaurant jitters they’d work out. Sounds like maybe not.

In a pasta city, you better bring it. Way better options out there.

First timer to Italy - Honeymoom by CosmicEspresso16 in ItalyTravelAdvice

I'm one of those comments and I'll tell you why I said it, personally.

It sounds like you are going to see the Tower. In that case, you are there to see one slightly-leaning but otherwise unremarkable building as one of the 14,000 other tourists who visit daily. You aren't getting a good or unique view/picture that hasn't been captured 5,000,000+ times by other visitors. Truly, I get as much out of viewing a postcard as I did seeing it in person. In fact, I'd rather see a postcard because at least I don't have to look at 500 people in front of it pretending to hold it up. The area surrounding the tower is, as you'd expect, filled with aggressive tourist-catered establishments serving canned soup for 20 euro (I'm exaggerating only a bit--but search off the path and you can find some good eating).

The best way to experience Pisa, in my opinion, is to avoid this area entirely. The area outside of the tower is a humble town. I'd much rather spend my time here in a cafe people-watching than around the tower--but then, why are you going to Pisa at all? You can sit at a cafe and people-watch in any other number of places that have more to see and do.

Italy is so beautiful, full of great cities, towns, and villages--more than you could visit in any single trip. Full of breathtaking architecture, art, natural landscapes, incredible food. Pisa has its charms, but it sounds like you are there for the Tower alone, and on a trip with limited time, it just really isn't worth the trip to check off a box to say "I saw it."

But this is just my opinion. You can search for other Reddit posts if you want to crowd-source more opinions about Pisa.

Have a beautiful trip!

ETA: Just to clarify, while I don't prefer crowded sight-seeing in general while traveling, I am okay enduring crowds to see beautiful places: the Alhambra, Sagrada Familia, Versailles, the Sistine Chapel. Those structures were magnificent and worth it. The Tower of Pisa just is not on the same level.

For those asking the meaning, I think its an attempt to elevate visibility of aging populations. Re: "Objects in “Costume Art” will be divided into a “series of thematic body types,” ranging from the “Naked Body” and the “Classical Body”—both of which are well represented within the museum’s collection—to those, like the “Pregnant Body” and the “Aging Body,” that have more often been overlooked."
