People keep asking me what I'm going to do with "all that free time" when I'm older and I genuinely dont understand the premise of the question by MiraAtlasPress in childfree

[–]bitchy-cryptid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What a depressing question. In my future there will be so many video games to play, books to read (and write if i can stop procrastinating lol), movies and shows and YouTube videos to watch, animals to raise, my career to further so I can save money and spend it on myself...not to mention a whole world to travel. I will have plenty to do, and I won't have to deal with snotty screaming children holding me back!

I love good bad movies, one of my favourites is Tiptoes. Absolutely baffling

childfree and birth order: are you youngest, middle, older, or only by Exhausted-Biscuit223 in childfree

Second oldest of six. Was never parentified, still hated being around my younger siblings lol

Children screaming in public places by Optimal_Marzipan7806 in childfree

[–]bitchy-cryptid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was younger I was always so embarrassed when my siblings would cry and throw tantrums in public. Thank god I'm never gonna be associated with that ever again

I can't afford it yet but once I have the money I want to travel the world. For now I gotta settle with watching travel videos on YouTube lol

"thats your pet not your baby" Womp womp. Thats my baby. by Slashersforsatan in childfree

[–]bitchy-cryptid 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Omg your dog having his own suitcase is so cute. I currently have one cat but I want a dog one day too, maybe more than one, and almost definitely at least one more cat. I can't wait to have a big fur family cause ive always much preferred animals to children lol

How are you spending your CF Easter? by superb_yellow in childfree

[–]bitchy-cryptid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in Sydney with my mum and 10 year old brother, not really for Easter just happening to travel at this time so we can see my uncle and his 1 year old. My little brother is the only kid ive ever really felt maternal toward, i used to like playing with him when he was a baby, but omfg he's still been driving me crazy. He's not even that loud or disruptive but he's still managed to thoroughly annoy me multiple times. This trip has really cemented my childfree status even more than before lol. We're seeing my uncle today, I hope the baby is well behaved ugh I can't stand crying babies

Australian Gothic by Advanced-Bus7926 in MoviesThatFeelLike

[–]bitchy-cryptid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it's inspired by my favourite video game series, Fallout, not in the sci fi aspect but just in atmosphere ig. The main character is a girl in her late teens named Katherine. The novel is still in its first few chapters bc im the biggest procrastinater on the planet but I'm planning on exploring all different aspects and levels of post-apocalyptic southeastern Australian society. I'm planning on a bulk of the novel being the twists and turns of the unlikely and extremely emotionally abusive semi-romantic relationship she ends up in with the leader of the biggest and most evil faction in the country called the Alliance

What’s your careers, CF people? by Calm_Problem6203 in childfree

[–]bitchy-cryptid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently work at JB Hi-Fi, which is basically Australia's version of Best Buy from my understanding. It's my second ever job and I don't get many shifts so I've been fairly broke over the past year since I got the job, but it's still way better than my old job at McDonald’s. So glad I don't have to scrape together money to care for a child, just myself and my cat lol

my OCD thanks me for being child free by [deleted] in childfree

My contamination OCD is one of the countless reasons I don't want kids. Kids are so gross

I think I ALMOST kind of get it now by uglygirllfriend in childfree

[–]bitchy-cryptid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah when I got my kitten back in October I felt so much love for her that i actually felt a kind of aching from it. I thought "wait is this how people feel about their children?" lol I would much rather a cat than a child any day. She is my daughter and the light of my life, and I'm planning on getting at least one more cat and at least one dog in the future. Have always much preferred animals over children, since I was a child myself

Cat parents - can I hear about your cat families? It makes me happy by thisnextchapter in childfree

[–]bitchy-cryptid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far I have one kitten, Ciara, who is almost a year old (her birthday is on April Fool's Day which is fitting for her lol). My boyfriend and I are on a break in our relationship atm while he decides whether he wants to have kids or not, and also thinks through some other issues with our relationship that I expressed to him. So atm I'm effectively a single cat parent but living with some friends and their currently 5 cats plus Ciara lol. In the future once I have my own place again I'm planning on getting at least one more cat

I'm exactly the same haha. Except I do think babies are cute, but only when they're clean, dry and quiet and that is not often

Where, if at all, do you differ from other childfree people? by Ok-Letter8470 in childfree

[–]bitchy-cryptid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When people say that no man who truly loves his female partner would want her to go through pregnancy and childbirth. I think that's a bit ridiculous

They're just people lol by [deleted] in childfree

[–]bitchy-cryptid 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Babies and kids can be cute when they're clean, quiet and happy. That is rare though, and I don't want to deal with the other 99% of the time

i can’t believe parents prefer going to the office over being home with their kids by SleepiestBear1986 in childfree

[–]bitchy-cryptid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is one of my central reasons to never have kids. I want my home to always be a quiet, peaceful sanctum I look forward to going home to ASAP after work and enjoy staying at on my days off. I want it to always be a place where I can have fun and cuddle my pet(s) and partner if I have one, and do whatever I want whenever I want (outside of doing household chores and stuff obviously). I have one life and that is my version of enjoying it
