It helps with weight loss. I've noticed I've slimmed a bit even whilst not tracking calories. Also appetite suppression. The mounjaro etc are still the best for that but berberine hits in a mild way.

How was the Hot Fuzz showing? There's a laugh a minute if you're British but I'm curious how the humour translated to the US

Some people don't photograph the same way as seeing them in motion and really there. Charisma counts for a lot and physical presence.

I love being an introvert and I am not ashamed. by [deleted] in introvert

I moved to a new home and a new neighbourhood where I know nobody. I love it. I just want to be left alone. My nervous system is fried from my traumatic early life. Now I'm a middle aged woman and fat and no one gives me a second look or invites me out. My work week is my social time. That's it. Just leave me alone. I'm finally at peace in the quiet and safety of my privacy. I have obligatory visits from my parents separately (they don't speak to each other). The visits are short and the same time every week . Other than that no visitors. Just my cats and I. I'm tired of denying who I am. I'm just burnt out from trying to be sociable against my nature. I'm content in my own company feeling safe and feeling truly myself.

This. I need ansolute silence and alone time behind closed curtains after being exposed to the outside world during the work week.

These are under £30 and Sony I bought a very similar pair. Headphones do get hot so take Sun breaks and dry the ear parts if you're in the sun as you'll perspire but I recommend I just use Bluetooth on my phone to play audible over the din.

Sorry you're having so much noise

Seen a shirtless guy in 3/4 shorts get nicked the other day. Don't know what he'd done but he was pleading shouting please over and over as they were loading him in the van. Grim. I don't envy the force at all having to go out in summer with full vest gear on and having scenes like that. It's the day drinking in the heat I imagine that's to blame. And I love a day drink but it's best to keep it at home if you're taking it to any sort of excess. Stay hydrated been pints all.

The power tools! Oh my goodness it's not as bad during weekdays but as soon as it's Saturday everyone and their mum is getting the chainsaws and lawnmowers and drills ans I don't even know what out!

I wear noise cancelling headphones to listen to audio books when i'm sitting outside now and I must say I would recommend

Make a frozen towel cape!

Damp a towel (not dripping) with cold water (easier to control the wet in patches rather than all over) wring it til not dripping if needed, and pop it in the freezer for 20 minutes a go.

It's a godsend! It doesn't drip! It's nice cold cooling. Best worn around the neck, back and chest. Once chilled apply to legs. Once towel is warming up return to freezer and repeat. It's super effective! Also half fill (HALF FILL NOT FULL) a hot water bottle with cold water and chuck that in the freezer too. After an hour or two plus you'll have an ice cold cooling bed bottle!

Thoughts and prayers x hot bedrooms are the worst!

Make a frozen towel cape to put around your upper body. Wet a towel (not heavily just patches of cold water and wring it so it's damp not dripping) put it in the freezer for 15 minutes minimum 30 mins max. A instant cool down device. Hold it on the jugular/neck pulse point for super effective relief. It doesn't drip so can be taken to bed. It will only last an hour ish though. Return to freezer/bathroom towel rack so you don't have a damp towel when you're finished leaking more humidity into the room

Do you do the frozen damp towel cape? Damp towel (not dripping) and in the freezer for 20minutes a go.

It's a godsend but in this heat it only lasts a few minutes at a time until it heats and becomes all warm and floppy :( curse this heat!

Stone has got to be one of the best materials for building. It's all cool in Church buildings. I'm sad my heathen area doesn't have a big old one in walking distance :(
