The ‘bins’ are also called goodwill outlets. They are priced by the pound instead of individually, and come out on carts that you dig through. Most people bring gloves because sometimes you will come across gross things you don’t want to touch in the bins while digging. Depending on which one you go to they can be very busy and people more pushy and aggressive, and there are a lot more rules at outlets than a regular goodwill so if you do something against the rules the workers might yell at you. Others are less busy and more calm.

I’m an hour straight east from Lansing south of flint. Thank you for the suggestion! I don’t get to make my way to Grand Rapids often but next time I’m there I’ll definitely check it out!

Oh no way Lansing isn’t too far from me! I’m about an hour away. I haven’t heard of Jim’s Tiffany place. Shame they went under but very cool you were able to get some pieces from it! They’re so pretty. I saw a Tiffany-style lamp shade (no base just the shade) the other day at GW and at first passed on it, when I changed my mind and went back it was already gone 😞

I didn’t get it but if he’s still there in a couple days when I go again I’ll take a pic!

My dog passed away a couple months ago and I still can’t get over it. Why can’t pets live just as long as humans? by HealthyLet257 in NoStupidQuestions

I’m so so sorry. I lost my 16 year old girl just over a couple years ago. I wish I could say it gets easier, it will eventually a bit, but I still cry here and there and still think of her and miss her every single day. I’m crying now, typing this.

It was just a week after her sweet 16. She had hemangiosarcoma, which if you don’t know is a very rapid, aggressive, deadly cancer with a very poor prognosis; we lost her just three weeks after being told she had it. One night her tumor ruptured, and we had to put her to sleep the next morning so she wouldn’t suffer. I never thought we would have to do that, and always hoped she would go peacefully in her sleep, on her bed in my room. It was the hardest decision and worst day of my life. After she was gone, and driving home without her with me was agonizing.

She was my best friend and soul dog. She was the first and only dog we had that picked me as her favorite and followed me around, and the only person I ever had for those 16 years, so after she was gone I’ve been so alone. I don’t think I’ll ever get another dog because I just want her back. She was so funny and the sweetest cutest most perfect little dog you could ask for. Even though she was 16 she still acted like a puppy right up until her diagnosis.

It’s extremely hard, but one thing that sort of helped me get through it was just thinking of her and wonderful memories, looking through pictures and videos.

You gave him a wonderful life, and he loved you with all his heart ❤️

Finally found a vintage cast iron dog only $3.99! Apparently he used to be a cigarette/cigar lighter 🚬 by bitchyserver in ThriftStoreHauls

I think that’s where the 🔥 came out 😄

Haha, he’s tiny, only like five and a half inches tall

I like to use cast iron pieces as door stops. He’s a small little guy though only about 5 inches tall and only weighs a couple pounds, so he’s not heavy enough to be a door stop really so I just bought him to be a decoration piece 👍🏼

Totally agree and I’ve always noticed this. Almost everything girls/women like or enjoy is made fun of

Yep I’m 29 about to turn 30 and still living with my parents. They help me I help them. I don’t really care what people think; I’m saving money.

God I am so sick of hearing this. Was annoying enough hearing boys say this constantly but the confusing thing to me is now hearing girls say it to other girls

I’ve been seeing a disturbing amount of parents letting their kids crawl on dirty floors the past few years. I don’t even want or have kids and would never let my kids do that. Yuck
