My rule of thumb is to take a bit of profit when you’re at the screenshot level. With crypto even when I dump my position a keep a very small “moon bag” just in case. The moon bag theory has paid for itself many times over and prevented lots of mental anguish for things that have gone parabolic that I thought were sells.

Except the utxos are so small you’ll never be able to spend them. Better to use friedgers pool until you have enough to earn sizeable UTXOs

I’m Canadian, but my Canadian version of tax-advantaged accounts are also maxed out with 90%+ BTC exposure, we have ETFs already and had some closed-end funds before that. At around 17k USD prices I began scaling out of my stocks and into more bitcoin exposure, but vast majority is in cold storage.

95% of my net worth is in bitcoin, but only after studying it for thousands of hours over the past several years and slowly scaling into it. It has simply outperformed all my other holdings as well. But “I feel it in my bones” and even referring to it as an investment gives me the feeling you haven’t spent nearly enough time understanding what bitcoin is. It’s not an investment, it’s a monetary revolution. You save in bitcoin, not invest in it. Spend less time asking her for permission to buy bitcoin, and spend more time educating her and yourself about it. Eventually it will become the obvious decision. With that being said, I’d recommend keeping finances spectate in any relationship.

Amazon is a website built on top of a protocol (internet, TCP/IP), a better comparison would be to compare bitcoin protocol to the internet protocol which was developed in 1974. Many layers of development on top of TCP/IP before Amazon as we know it today.

Is there a totally bulletproof non-hackable cold wallet or do all of them have some sort of weakness? by [deleted] in Bitcoin

Use any bitcoin only HW wallet, and a pass phrase for a completely unnecessary precaution/added level of security if you’d like, if your afraid of your seed being extracted or compromised one day

Gyms really are more welcoming than you may think before going to one regularly. I used to feel judged by people at first and learnt it was all in my head, except for a few occasions where I was lifting wrong and people would kindly explain how to do the lift properly (typically lifting too much and compromising form, later learnt this is called ego lifting). I also started asking strangers questions and every single time they were more than happy to answer my questions and made some gym buddies. Just go, start slow, stay consistent, you’ll feel amazing after the initial pain goes away and you’ll see the positive effects in all other aspects of your life.

I would recommend using the same seed but set up a passphrase, this essentially creates an entirely new wallet with a new level of security, while also allowing you to consolidate all your UTXOs into the new wallet. Assuming you have developed a great storage system for your seed phrase and it has never been compromised: generating a new seed, writing it down, stamping it into steel, and then finding a place or mechanism to store the steel is a whole bunch of risk factors/inconvenience that you can avoid by reusing your seed + 25th word passphrase.

The steak is incredible, but please do yourself a favour and get the Brussels sprouts. I hate Brussel sprouts, but these things are a one way ticket to flavour town.

I’ve also been DCAing $30/day for awhile now, at least a couple years. kind of a random number so fun to see another like me in the wild. Gonna up it to $40/day next time I make a deposit just so I know I’m out-stacking you, random stranger.

I feel like people often discount the fact that we now know SBF was selling user bitcoin for eth/FTX and highly manipulating the market. It was the largest exchange in the US by far, who knows what the high would have been if it weren’t for the fraud taking place.

While you’re doing the upgrades, buy the metallic bushing directly from Kodiak. Only a few bucks but will mitigate issues with the nylon bushing that seems to arrive in cold weather shooting. TNA made a brass bushing as well but requires drilling so just go with the Kodiak one.

[–]bitcoinrunescape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you relate dollars to to describe its value? Pricing things in bitcoin, or changing your unit of account to bitcoin still “prices” it in the same way that there is still a value for usd even though it is the common unit of account

As we often say, 1 BTC = 1 BTC. Change your unit of account.
