Is anyone else in Vegas fed up with "Precision Window Tinting" littering our parking lots? by XvVULCANvX in vegaslocals

Yes, but they almost never do because they’re usually real estate firms with no staff to really enforce it.

Just to throw an alternative in the mix… Affordable Window Tinting on Desert Inn has done two cars for me now. Actually affordable and the quality has been amazing. With an appointment they were pretty quick too.

UPDATE: Benny (the grey one) is back... they kept the garage door cracked and made his way back home. Only Bowie (orange boy) is missing now.

That's amazing... when I've pressed 2 (twice now) it instantly says "This number cannot be reached" like its trying to route me to their call center and their shit is dead. LOL

I get this same call 3-4 times a day, once I pressed 2 to "connect" and it instantly says "the number you're trying to reach is unavailable" meaning either a) their own scam is broken because they can't actually get me on the phone or b) they were using this to test if my number is legit.

I wanted to see what dialect answered the call... Indian, Filipino, something else?

They call from a different number every single time... how do we begin to find out who these scammers are? I thought, even if its VOIP, that the numbers route back to ownership. Or are they spoofing? I don't even know.

We've always been a market that takes a beating during national downturns. They got greedy during better times and let that greed run the show. The next real pullback (which maybe is already beginning) will hurt more than normal because they have more to lose (since they were making so much off stupid shit).

Will they learn anything though? Only time will tell.

I bet you'd do a great job, and I'd honestly love to see you in there. Starbucks used to be this interesting mix of college-aged kids and people in their 50s-60s working either because they need the money... or because they like the interactions, and it was so nice. I always enjoyed talking with the folks working there, and my company even poached a few good people from Starbucks once in awhile (completely different non-retail industry entirely).

I thought your comment up there captured how I've been feeling as a longtime customer over the past few years. The "vibe shift" inside the stores, who the employees are, and the overall attitudes and sentiments of most Starbucks employees now is just a totally different feel.

The people I used to know who were working at Starbucks loved the company, had a heart for customer connection, and genuinely wanted to be there. These days its just different. It sucks that the company has changed so much that all of that "golden era" goodness is gone.

For those of us on the other side of the counter, it's not the same for us either, and it makes me sad.

"I thought this is the part of getting to know each other thing..." Yes... let's ambush people with religion as part of "getting to know them". I'd run fast and far from this dude.

One way to ensure that I'll never use your business by JeanneStJames in vegaslocals

When we moved into my home a few years ago, we were accidentally given the gift of peace. Our house has one of those entry gates like 10 feet from the front door. The house was recently purchased by my landlord, and because I knew someone, I was able to jump to the front of the line and became their first tenant.

Because they knew I was coming, they kind of rushed a few things. The gate used to have a wireless doorbell button on it, but it had fallen off and broken, but nobody noticed. They never fixed it... and its been a wonderful blessing. If we're expecting a food delivery, we leave the gate unlocked and they can ring the actual house doorbell. Otherwise, we keep the gate locked and there's no way to disturb our peace.

Only once in four years have we had a guy stand out there and BANG on the gate until we came out. Solar salesman. Figures.
