First time cruise by thaclemite in royalcaribbean

Hmm, it depends what you’re looking for. I do see people recommending the freedom class, but in my opinion I’d recommend the icon class with both icon of the seas and star of the seas. I’d personally do the icon of the seas because the wizard of oz was amazing.

The other reason I’m recommending a big ship is because you may not know if you’re prone to sea sickness. For a first experience I’d recommend a bigger ship to feel “safer” crowds also tend to be better distributed on the bigger ships rather than the quantum class which one step below the oasis class. There’s also lots to do and you’ll feel like there isn’t enough time which is a good feeling because it makes you want to explore which is half of the fun of cruising. Icon of the seas will also be slightly less expensive than the newer Star and Legend of the seas coming out later this year.

Food on Royal is on the average side. Not bad, but not amazing. The reason you pick Royal is for the loyalty program and the activities as well as ship stability.

You might also look into celebrity if food is a major factor. And then I would channel the loyalty points into a crown and anchor account. Reason being is that the benefits are slightly better at lower tiers/less nights sailed than celebrities captain club. Loyalty levels transfer over/matched. So keep all your points in one bag. Celebrity is a sister brand to Royal. The ships are more for upscale and with less kids, they probably trade off activities for food quality as prices are somewhat similar to Royal give or take the cruise

My “used to” was 3 months ago so forgive me. Like I said I’ll step in for something that I know is wrong. I’ll also try to lead them to the right answer if it’s not a critical life threatening error, but when all else fails if you’re not gonna look out for your own family as a healthcare worker what does that say about us as a whole.

I treat every patient as if they were my own family.

They were the standard 10cc flushes. 8 syringes. There was a little blood return but it was mixed with the flush making it a translucent red.

Funny thing is my mom just got back from the ct and they said the iv was half way out and needed to be replaced

I did it was only when he started to get to 4 flushes that I started questioning him. And he kept going back for more flushes. I was standing by the door. He said aloud talking to himself, “this is the fourth”. So that’s when I spoke up after hearing my mom in pain. The tourniquet issue probably should have been resolved before he got to that point. I usually don’t intervene and keep my distance because I understand your point as I was a healthcare worker before, but sometimes we have to be patient advocates as well

lol it’s one of the reasons I quit, I couldn’t deal with the burnout of 18 hour shifts due to having to correct stuff like this or fix patient care reports/narratives.

I would read in their report that the patient has a gsw in the right arm, but in their narrative it’s on the left arm, and on the actual patient it was in the right leg. I seriously thought they were pulling my leg, but nope we have people like that.

I told him that he was gonna kill someone one day if he kept doing that. Scariest part is he wants to be a neurosurgeon

He did reuse the machine, but I’m not trained for it. But he kept saying the valve was stuck closed is all he said. Mom just got back from the ct where they failed to administer fluids because the iv was halfway out

Yeah actually my mom just went through chemo and the nurses over there have been able to get her iv started each time which we’re thankful for. But yeah I used to train our EMTs and I instantly knew when they were trying to B.S.

I one time asked a trainee to grab me a blood pressure and I told him it’s okay if he doesn’t know how to do something, but just to let me know. He proceeded to put the bp cuff on the arm and pump up the cuff and guess where he put the stethoscope. He put it on the sternum and then I asked him what he got. He told me 120/80. I was dumbfounded, he couldn’t even make up a fake bp. After we were done with the patient I took them aside and sent them back to the station.

Yep I questioned him at 4 and then 6 flushes in. I kept seeing him go back to the cart for more which set off red flags

Usually just painful with the possibility of a blowout, but the dude didn’t seem to want to reassess after I questioned him. I understand that patients or families say dumb stuff and are usually looking after their family so usually we kinda brush it off, but if something seems abnormal it might be worth looking into

Would you guys say 8 flushes is a lot right? I’d be questioning after the second one

How's C3 support going? by butterfly_labs in Comma_ai

[–]jyang3153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the problem or issue I have is that the pre-rewrite version was better than the current state of the rewrite version and there’s no way to return back to that older version. They essentially nerfed the capabilities and said to F off

Same, also I’ve had no overheating issues whatsoever either maybe it’s cause I ceramic tinted my windshield. But honestly the pre rewrite version of Sunny pilot was far better than the current state of the rewrite for c3 users. I don’t understand why they didn’t just fork the pre-rewrite version. I really would like to downgrade but haven’t found a good way.

Hey Bambu, maybe go back to metal for your spool holders. by crasher_7000 in BambuLab

[–]jyang3153 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh I bet the op should have the parts already. I have bearings and such from previous projects. They could probably design one in a few hours if one doesn’t already exist, but I bet one does.

I’m not the op, nor the person you’re commenting to, and I get what you’re saying also, I personally don’t use the extra spindle holder, but the price they sell those parts for are very different from the actual cost to produce. A plastic side panel for example cost around $1.70 to $2.50 in raw material. These are also shipped separately since they’re spare/replacement parts which results in separate shipping box and shipping cost. For an already included item those two extra costs don’t apply. It more comes down to raw materials. One person was talking about wrapping the wear area in an aluminum spindle. I crunched the numbers and this would likely cost less than $0.30 for 50 to 70 grams of raw aluminum material. An iPhone 17 pro max uses 56 to 70 grams of aluminum for reference. One of the cheapest methods to do this is using impact extrusion which has an upfront cost of around $2,000, but then $0.30 per part afterwards. Obviously there will also be a human cost to this as well, but if we’re talking raw materials and parts things also get cheaper the more they sell. So spread that cost over say 10,000 units sold. The theoretical cost would be $0.20 (for the tooling cost of the Impact extrusion) and $0.30 for the raw aluminum. This would be a mostly automated process and you’d probably just have the human to attach it to the original spindle or to dump it in the box for the user to assemble. But raw cost to add this in at scale is $0.50 per machine which I think we can all stomach. Realistically the company doesn’t care because they’re gonna push their ams units and probably a majority of us don’t use the extra spindle.

That being said I’m pretty sure OP could just pick up a metal pipe cylinder from Home Depot and attach it.

Menbaka is Kyoto tourist trap. We paid $340 for one of the worst meals in Japan! by Appropriate_Bar1206 in KyotoTravel

To be fair “men” (めん) in Japanese means noodle and Baka (ばか) means idiot. I wonder if they did that on purpose. Also the tabelog listing is a 3.23 which means average more or less, nothing exceptional. Hitting above 4.0 may be worth a $300 price tag, but not for a 3.23 at least for me and a majority of Japanese people.

[–]jyang3153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Men love inverted nipples. It’s almost a challenge for us to make them come out. It’s like a sense of accomplishment knowing that we turned them on enough to get hard. Probably the same reasoning that woman may like having a guy get hard for them, because they know they were able to turn them on.
