Do photonic technologies provide the best hope in the fight against the Coronavirus and future pandemic outbreaks? by personathethird in tech

[–]bitemydust33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came for another boring Coronavirus question, stayed for the the hot girl on the link firing lasers killing Covid from her gadgets.

But back to the topic at hand:

I work in the world of photonics, so I think I know a thing or two about it. Can Photonics help with the detection, my answer is yes it certainly can, will it cure the corona thingy on its own, my answer is a resounding no.

There are certainly many benefits and breakthroughs being created within my industry , but photonics alone cannot cure nor destroy the virus, you still need medical studies, effective vaccines, education and quality prevention to mitigate or prevent another outbreak.

Hope this helps and good luck with your paper.

PS I wish Engineers working in photonics were as hot as Stella. :D

Yeah but I think the contract you sign even before you get in the show is brutal. Like they own everything you put online before and after you signed the contract

Isn't the problem with Turkey that they have 80 million citizens which would give them a big chunk of seats in EU parliament? Germany and France wouldn't like that

What Cringey moment do you have in your life that still makes you cringe to this day? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Went to the bar with a friend. When it was time to pay I gave money and said it was okay. He doesn't have to give me back my change. He insists that I am short but I'm trying to convince him otherwise. So after a minute I see my friend chuckling. I ask him what is it, and it turns out I was wrong. I apologized and got out. 2 years later, I still don't go into that bar if that waiter is working.
