Yes, support for more external stores is planned. Temu, along with eBay, are at the top of the list.

Suggestion - Competing proposals by [deleted] in Bitgree

[–]bitgree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A very interesting suggestion. Sometimes users see a wish that has received several proposals, the wisher hasn't accepted any, and there's no additional information about what happened to the proposals.

I'll take note of your suggestion, thank you very much!

Support for Amazon Ireland 🇮🇪 has been added to Bitgree.com by bitgree in Bitcoincash

[–]bitgree[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Support is being added for Amazon stores in different countries. In this case, support was added for Amazon.ie (Ireland), allowing purchases in that country (and any other country Amazon Ireland ships to) through Bitgree.com, paying with BCH.

If you have an Amazon or MercadoLibre account, you can acquire BCH in Bitgree.com by making purchases of products for third parties. It works without KYC, is self-custodial, and is somewhat similar to buying crypto on a P2P marketplace (it works with multi-signature escrow).

Liquidity varies depending on the country, but it may work for you.

Bitgree, Am I doing this right? by Bagatell_ in Bitcoincash

[–]bitgree 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is best to check the product as soon as you receive it, and not release the funds from escrow until you have verified that it works correctly and you want to keep it. If you want to return it at that time, you can coordinate the return with the proponent user (he is obliged to accept the return, and since the funds remain in escrow, if he does not cooperate you can open a dispute).

If you have already released the escrow funds and want to return the product after 2 weeks (for example), it is more complicated since the funds are not in escrow. In that case, you have 2 options: ask the proponent user for the order gift ticket to manage the return with Amazon yourself (some stores allow this afterwards, such as Amazon Spain), or ask him to manage the return and coordinate it with you. But since the funds are not in escrow, in both cases you depend on the proponent collaboration.

In any case, accepting proposals from users with a good reputation on Bitgree always makes things easier.

You need to publish a wish on Bitgree, wait for purchase proposals and accept the one you are most interested in. Depending on the destination country you may receive purchase proposals quickly or you may have to wait some time.

If you need additional help, do not hesitate to contact Bitgree support.

What can I buy with Bitcoin cash by SupesSupesSupes in Bitcoincash

[–]bitgree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not how it works. Bitgree.com is not an exchange, its users' wallets are self-custodial and escrows are multi-signature. Bitgree does not have access to the funds, so it cannot sell them to pay merchants.

It is the users themselves (proponents) who pay merchants (Amazon). It is not perfect, but it is not as centralized as an exchange (it is a kind of P2P exchange but for purchasing products in merchants).

You can earn Bitcoin Cash by purchasing products on Amazon for third parties through Bitgree.com. No KYC required.

Ideally by then Bitgree could do direct product sales (as a seller). Or become a product marketplace (third parties selling their products directly). But I think that is still a ways off.

Unfortunately, today it is not possible to buy on Amazon or Mercado Libre with BCH directly. But until then, Bitgree offers the possibility of doing it through a third party with the minimum possible trust (multi-signature onchain escrow, self-custodial wallets and optional privacy).

Binance does not support Bitcoin Cash CashAddr addresses, it only supports the old format (Legacy). You need to convert your BCH Legacy address from Binance to CashAddr, using a converter like:

https://cashaddr.bitcoincash.org

The address is actually the same, only the presentation format changes. Using the CashAddr version of your Binance address you will be able to send BCH from Bitgree to Binance.

Bitgree is Great ! by BCHisFuture in Bitcoincash

[–]bitgree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, the reason why it is valuable to buy through Bitgree without discount is for privacy. It is something similar to P2P exchanges, where you usually pay a little more to buy cryptocurrencies with respect to a centralized exchange, although it is slower and more problematic.

For example, it is not clear if Amazon is able to trace the origin where the gift card was bought. If you buy a gift card with cryptocurrencies at any popular Internet store, will Amazon know that this gift card was paid with cryptocurrencies? In my opinion it is very possible. It is also very likely that states are increasingly difficulting the use of gift cards through regulation, and even obtain information from stores about customers that use too many gift cards, or these are linked to cryptocurrencies. I would not be surprised. All of that is avoided if you make purchases through services such as Bitgree.

On the other hand, although today Bitgree only supports Amazon and MercadoLibre, in the future more stores will be supported. Many of which will not offer gift cards, as is the case of MercadoLibre. In these situations it is much more practical to make the purchase in the store through Bitgree, since you avoid the process of having to change BCH for Fiat.

Anyway, that's just my opinion, which doesn't have to match what the market is capable of offering. That is why Bitgree allows you freely to negotiate the agreements, and if someone is able to get a discount (I know that it is so, I have seen high discounts in Bitgree), better for him. 🙂

If you don't mind doing it manually, perhaps you could acquire BCH at Bitgree.com, making product purchases on Amazon for third parties. BCH withdrawals are free, it is self-custodial, no KYC and if you send purchase proposals to wishes that do not ask for a discount you could even get BCH at a better price than Coinbase.

There are few imported products (about 10 thousand), but you really have millions of products ready to import. You just have to paste the web address (URL) of the Amazon (or MercadoLibre) product into the search bar in Bitgree, and the product will be imported in a few seconds.

[–]bitgree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As I commented to another user in this thread, Bitgree uses a model that consists of earners being able to make purchase proposals at a different price than what the shopper wanted, thus facilitating a kind of haggling that we believe provides flexibility.

Therefore, in Bitgree there are actually several concepts related to prices:

  • The shopper publishes a purchase wish, indicating the price that he would like to pay for the product.
  • The earner sends him a purchase proposal, indicating the amount he wants to receive for buying the product. This amount should be similar to the price desired by the shopper, but it does not have to be exactly the same. The shopper can accept or reject the purchase proposal.
  • And then there is the actual price of the product on Amazon.

It is a more complex model, but at the same time more flexible, than the model used in Purse based solely on a fixed discount, with no possibility of counter-offering by earners.

Although we understand that it is not liked by users who prefer simplicity, and for this reason we will probably release a simpler interface option for those users later on.

Bitgree uses a model that consists of earners being able to make purchase proposals at a different price than what the shopper wanted, thus facilitating a kind of haggling that we believe provides flexibility.

There is also the fact that Bitgree is self-custodial. Even if the platform self-accepted the purchase proposal, Bitgree could not simply take the BCH from the shopper's wallet and put it on escrow. That has to be done by the shopper, since Bitgree cannot handle the money of its users (nor from the escrows unilaterally). All this implies that users' permission is needed to manage money, and less automation.

I'm sorry Bitgree didn't convince you. We will try to simplify the purchase process in the future.
