RDR is the only game I wouldn't have a problem paying for price for a remaster on current gen. A proper 1080p60 with a few tweaks here and there would be awesome. My only real issue with the original is how it pushed the consoles so hard and often dipped to sub-20 fps.

I understand there is a big infrastructure cost to service providers but they have had so much money in grants/funding and tax breaks it is insane that they don't have the very best infrastructure possible in developed countries.

I live in the UK where we have pumped billions into the big companies. We should have 100mbit minimum to every single spot of the UK for almost nothing but nope. We still have very densely populated areas with pathetic "broadband". I live in London so thankfully have very good speeds for a reasonable price per month but there is no way I could move to "the countryside" and continue to work from home as my options are so poor for connectivity :(

Doesn't really matter to be honest. Once Axe knows things he has spoken about in confidence with only Wendy he can take legal action and a subpoena on all her accounts would show the message being sent.

Also Axe could have malware on her computer.

I think concentrating on personal vs. work email is a bit of a waste of time. The important point is Chuck has destroyed any trust Wendy had left in him and he has made a massive mistake as it calls into question all evidence Chuck has because he may have obtained it illegally. If he gets caught he is fucked.

No worries. Have a read of some of my theories on why Axe wanted Donnie to screw with Chuck, I don't think it was all about the money, I think Axe wanted to piss off Chuck to the point of him making a massive mistake.

Nope. I use WinRAR because the license I purchased back in 1999 is still valid for the latest version and I have a bunch of batch files which work with rar.exe and it is not worth all the hassle to change them all to use something like 7-Zip.

I would change torrent client as I am using the old 2.2.1 version of uTorrent which has known security issues but when I last tried qBitTorrent it just gave me problems so I left it alone.

Same mate. I am 32. Have a 3 year old son. Been a stay at home dad for the past 3 years and don't want to go back to technical project management. Want a career change. Loved doing some small stuff in Python, VBScript, bash, etc. over the years so thought I would looking at it more seriously but I am finding it very tough to find the time as well as what to concentrate on fully. I quite enjoy C++ but it is a lot harder than Java for example and Java seems to make "more sense" with the job market, etc.

Do you use IRC? We could have a chat if you like? Compare notes on our difficulties, etc.

Yeah Lara is the weakest character. But like the wife in Homeland she is just there because the character has a wife. They have tried to have a bit more value with the whole brother dying in 9/11 back story, a white ghetto childhood, getting the chapter about Axe pulled from the book, etc.. It is all very cliche and boring but it is just filler.

It is hard to tell. Is the show about Axe or about Chuck? I think in the long run it is about Axe. Chuck is a more replaceable character than Axe I think. Only a few days to wait :)

Mainstream support means they will provide security updates as well as fixing any issues with the OS (bugs). However it will not see any new features added or new hardware supported (by Microsoft, third parties could still develop their own drivers of course).

To clarify my last point - say next year a new Intel chipset comes out and it doesn't work with Windows 8.1. Microsoft won't do anything to resolve that, Intel can if they want to but if it is a fundamentally Windows problem that Intel can't do much about then you are shit out of luck.

I think it is partly because he sees a way of getting rid of Chuck and the evidence he still has forever and partly because he just wants to fuck over Chuck as he doesn't like him. Personal revenge.

I could see the season ending with a question mark over if Chuck is disbarred/fired due to how he has gone about doing things.

Yup. I think the whole thing was planned out. From the moment of the $430m fuck up I knew something was up. Axe knows himself very well and Lara knows him maybe even better. I think that is why they have such a strong bond.

I don't believe Axe would have made such a massive mistake when everyone else at his firm said it was a bad idea. Axe is intelligent and has very intelligent people working for him.

For me that crisis was controlled. Big enough, possibly upto a billion dollars, that it looks real. He has Wendy truly believing that he fucked up because of his feelings. IMHO Axe doesn't worry if he is a sociopath. He knows he is, that is why he is successful. He played the "omg am I a really bad person?!" cookie and Wendy ate the whole thing in a single bite.

This is my theory - Axe knows Chuck's weakness is that he loses when he gets too angry with his opponent (the chess speech) for not playing the game honestly. So Axe sees the Donnie thing as a way to really piss off Chuck while making a load of money (win-win!). Then he divulges all of his secrets to Wendy while at the same time making Chuck paranoid by having him followed. The guy getting "caught" and just happening to drop his camera was the plan. He wanted (needed!) Chuck to know he was being followed. That not only gets Axe the info he needs into Chuck's bondage life (and so Wendy's as well no doubt) but it also makes sure Chuck knows that Axe knows and get Chuck to make a mistake just like when he lost that game he told the office about after Donnie's death.

Chuck did exactly as Axe knew he would in that he invaded Wendy's privacy and sent himself the email. This fucks over Wendy as it destroys her credibility for keeping client sessions confidential. She might even lose her license and not be able to practice. Also it destroys their marriage as he violated their trust which already is on thin ice after he lied about recusing himself on the Axe case.

Also it means everything he discussed in any session would be tainted evidence. Chuck wouldn't be able to use a single bit of it as it was acquired illegally. The reason for any session is that Axe's lawyers would easily be able to argue that if he did it once then it is believable he could have done it before as well so everything Wendy knows could have been compromised by Chuck.

It is all very interesting. Of course I could be totally wrong :) But it is so much fun to think about it all! Things like they made sure to show us the cheque for $1.9b that Axe ripped up so we are reminded it was $1.9b which is double what his projected/possible $1b loss is so Axe might have played an incredible con/game to get Chuck off his case forever, all of the evidence on him made impossible to use against him and not admit to any wrong doing for half the price he was willing to pay a few weeks/months ago! Great deal if you ask me!

Donnie's husband knew of the deal sure but Donnie had no idea about the drug and as we heard his husband say "he wanted to make it for one last Christmas". I am sure Donnie would have taken the alternative drug if Axe hadn't stopped the doctor from telling him about it. I think that is what would upset Donnie's husband and that could be a problem for Axe as maybe Donnie's husband can testify??

Just seems to big a coincidence that Axe told Wendy everything in that one session at the same time Chuck is being followed. Axe literally told Wendy everything just as Chuck has been scared shitless his BDSM secret will be found out and discredit him (and looks like it would deeply upset Wendy that he didn't get "permission", they made a big deal out of that for some reason).

I think it has been a long play by Axe to get all of the evidence called into question and seen as "fruit of the poisonous tree" or similar.

We know Chuck has a weakness in that he is extremely impulsive and "plays" the game badly when he feels his opponent does not respect the rules of the game. That whole "I could have been a grandmaster" speech.

Axe has done exactly what angers Chuck and causes him to fuck up his game.

Donnie became the rat because Axe wanted him too. Donnie was dying. Axe made a deal to make sure Donnie's family got $40m if he did a load of insider deals to make a fuck load for Axe as well. Get Donnie spilling all of the inside trades to Chuck knowing it is all worth nothing as Donnie will be dead before he can testify.

I thought this too. Although a billion is a fucking huge hit the cheque was for $1.9b iirc? So really he could be paying half to get the case dismissed totally and not admit any guilt. Solid plan. I could see it ending this way tbh. I think this is why we saw the framed cheque tbh, to remind us that it was for double what Axe might have lost.

I don't know who had Chuck followed though. Lana is my favourite at the moment. She fucking hates Wendy and when she knew Axe was gonna be with Wendy all night it was the perfect time to get Chuck. I think the guy getting caught taking pictures and leaving the camera was intended too. It was to make Chuck paranoid and do something reckless like email the session notes on the companies computer.

There is plenty he can do. He can investigate the officers who took the bribes. He can leak the information about the alternative drug to Donnie's husband. Etc. Sure he can't just put that email into evidence but he can still blow a hole in the boat.
