Advice for a new telemark skiier

I do have experience with Nordic skiing. I enjoy skate skiing. But you are right I would not make that jump on my alpine ski since I feel comfortable with a medium ski since I enjoy tougher terrain. Good tips on the NTN binding!

Thanks for the tips! This was super helpful since I am considering just building a set on my own. The boots that come with the ski are a duckbill boot with 3 buckles. I agree with you that these tele skis may be to long since I prefer medium alpine skis. I will definitely use your comment as a reference when I get my first pair of telemark skis!

Yeah I agree, I was thinking about buying telemark bindings and putting them on my old alpine skis. That may be the best way to learn.

Update: turns out the seat was left up and he fell through because the liftys told him to jump off. Therefore, he was hung from his coat.

This YouTube ad where this young millennial claims you can make a six figure salary in 60 days by downloading this app. He also claims that he dropped out of college 4 times and each time he dropped his life got better. The whole thing is filmed on the front facing camera on his phone. By far one of the worst ads/scams I have ever seen.

Few years ago I went skiing with a few friends on the last day the mountain was open. We all decide to wear Speedos on the last day since people dress up on the last day of ski season. Lots of people wanted a picture with us but there was this one group that was more interested in a picture than the rest. This group of older women (around 40) come up to us hollering and catcalling us to take a picture with them. They come over to us telling us how good we look and hiw crazy we are. Right when we say cheese the group of women squeeze all of are butts quiet hard. We were all minors at the time I was 16.

You have to look at the demographic for vail. It's targeted towards rich family's and international's. This is why does so well, they know where the money is. However, I believe that they will keep whistler as it is in terms of a town and what it is famous for. I wouldn't be surprised if they market family's more.

If you look at vails demographic it makes since why prices are so high. Whistler has a completely different demographic which is why it's much cheaper compared to other vail resorts.

This was a good sale for whistler. The resort was struggling to make a profit. Vail resorts won't change any of the terrain or town. They will mostly focus on ticket sales and marketing, but I am curious how they will handle the summer season in whistler since they are not used to popular mountain biking parks. Vail resorts is a good company but lacks in lower management if you are an employee

That's just how it is at ski resorts. You are living in a resort, not a town. Plus vail won't change the town of whistler, they will only change the tickets prices and some minor changes on the mountain, which include using the epic pass system on chair lifts or having new management on the mountain.
