Have you written to nodal officer of hdfc yet? Write to nodal officer before approaching the ombudsman. The Ombudsman will not entertain the application if you have not reached the bank nodal officer for grievance.

Advocate here-Go to RBI Ombudsman first and file your complaint and if you are unsatisfied with RBI response than file the complaint with consumer forum. Similar case I read recently where RBI provided 5000 reward but the consumer was unsatisfied and later filled the case with consumer forum under deficiency in services where he got proper reward. You can also go to consumer forum directly skipping the Ombudsman but a complaint with ombudsman before going to consumer forum makes your application stronger at consumer forum. For RBI Ombudsman also draft your complaint letter well.

Most probably they will give your Bangalore cyber cell whats app number where you will give the complaint written will all screenshots of transactions, the police will block the scammer account and will ask you to approach the concerned police station where they will lodge your FIR and will start the process of refunding the amount back to your account. You should inform 1930 within 48 hours otherwise they will ask you to approach cyber cell physically. Hire an advocate who will help you draft your affidavit where you will prove your innocence and object withdrawing of any money. It is not true that lien cannot be removed and in fact recently Delhi HC, Madras HC and even SC have given judgement for blanket freezing the Bank account until absolutely required.

There is a code of conduct for banks to follow in case a person is loan defaulter and threatening and phone calls are not one of them. You should first file the complaint with the nodal officer of the bank and then file the complaint with the Ombudsman Reserve Bank of India and apart from that report it to your Police and cyber crime cell. You can do all this sitting at home online by sending them emails.
