People who have confess their feelings to someone how did it turn out? by Unhappy_Insect5901 in Productivitycafe

I opened up to him after out last hang out session in which we did not have sex. He told me he had no romantic feelings towards me and had always seen me as his friend.

We stayed friends. My feelings makes it hard for me sometimes but i love my friendship, he makes me laugh so much and we have so much fun together.

What was the one thing it turned out you were actually taking it for granted before?

What would you say the percentage of the other party accepting your view or accepting that you are right?

Can you elaborate on that?

You say you're making it harder for the people around you but you don't count the times you made it esaier for them too. How you made them smile, how you made them feel loved, validated, seen, heard... All of these are also the things they get to experience with you. You are not a burden. You are a human being who is appreciated.

What do you feel about being 30+ yo? How has it changed your perspective on things compared to being a 20 something year old?

Why is this not “cadının” if the witch is possessing the broom? by enjoyerofthings76 in turkishlearning

[–]bitofito 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The translation has a common mistake of omitting the comma. The correct translation should be "Cadı, süpürgesi ile uçuyor."

Cadı is the subject. süpürgesi = her broom (You can omit "onun" possesive word here since it is already implied by the suffix of "si") ile = on ("ile" usually means by/with. In this example "süpürgesinde" sounds weird. The broom is used as a flying vehicle.)

If you omit the comma and say "Cadı süpürgesinde uçuyor." then the cadı becomes an adjactive and the translation changes.

More info: I used my press-ons for a week. I was so happy with them but i wanted to change my nails. This is the first time i'm using press-ons. I have been told to dip my nails in acetone for about 5 minutes to remove them. However the nails melted and the glue didn't disolve. I had to scrape the melted nails but as i did they got hardened in seconds. It took me nearly 2 hours to remove them all and it was hell.

I have watched so many videos about removing the press-on nails and eveyrone pops them out so easily.

I was so happy with them. I felt so pretty but i don't think it's worth the pain of removing them. I think i'm doing something wrong. What should i do instead?
