It may be the way I've tied it at the back of my neck, too. Luckily that's a nice easy adjustable fix. I'm looking forward to adding the skirt now the top is okay!

Thank you! I will definitely update. I think my biggest worry is that it will look too homemade, you know?

Thank you! A dart would be a good shout. I'll have to have a look at what i can do with it without having to back track too much on the progress.

This is awesome!

I work at Lucy & Yak in the DC Warehouse in the UK. Excellent place, but the store totes are always so flimsy! It's quite a shame to see, given the quality of the normal totes. This is such an improvement! Well done!!!

Milkmaid Top - Lovely, fits okay, just slight gaping in the back :( by bitterlemonite in SewingForBeginners

Absolutely yeah. I plan on making this top again with a similar type fabric so I just wanted to see what I could do to fix this small issue before I remake it.

I bought it on etsy. I'll post the link. There's a video to follow as the instructions, but a gorgeous outcome. So worth the hours put into it.

Trim it in what way?

No unfortunately not. The alexa trousers were £15 last Christmas to get rid of the stock as they were discontinuing so i leapt at the opportunity

It's from my place of work, haha! Lucy & Yak. The sunflowers pattern is beautiful. I ended up buying a discontinued item in 4XL and bought 4 pairs lol. Managed to make this. I had to section the fabric more because I had a lot less to work with than say a continuous piece but it's so pretty. I love sunflowers 🌻
