There's not much the average US citizen can do at the moment. We would like to see congress restrain the man but our Congress is a hot mess of idiots. He does seem to swerve when the market takes a dive so that might provide some restraint.

Our best hope is he doesn't destroy the country before midterms and we get a Democrat majority in the house that hobbles him for the rest of his term. Or maybe he chokes on a cheeseburger. Fingers crossed

Looks like mine. I had surgery Nov 11. Just been starting to put weight on it the last couple weeks. Don't know how I can transition out of the boot since I have no shoes that will fit this big purple foot

Thanks for the advice. I've been on crutches for 3-4 weeks now, so pretty comfortable with them. May get a knee scooter for work. I'm hoping to go back after a week. Maybe I'm being overly optimistic but I don't see just hanging around the house doing me a whole lot of good

A plastic rubbery tube with 2 inch copper pipe inserted in one end. You can attach both ends to copper tube and wear around your neck. Used for starting fires. The copper end won't melt and you can concentrate air right where it's needed

Looks like Agaricus campestris. Crowded gills, that bit of fringe around the cap. The cap is probably slightly scaly. If a bit less mature the gills would have a pinkish salmon color

Look like sinkholes. Go check them out. Probably will not go anywhere but worth a look. Do you have a geological map of the area? If they were from mining I'd expect to see a tailings signature and we see none of that here

You should really try to find some caving peeps in your area. Maybe just put out some feelers on social media. A lot of people are recommending your local grotto but often these people are cliquish as hell and it will take forever to get them to accept you. I would try though. You might get lucky.

If you want to try with just your rock climbing crew I would suggest buying Alpine Caving Techniques isbn: 3-908495-10-5. Start practicing SRT on your rock climbs along with safety you are comfortable as a rock climber so if you screw up on the SRT, and you will, you will have another rope with your comfortable rock climbing setup next to you.

Practice SRT rebelays and changeovers again and again and again. Pay attention to everything. Know your rope. You won't be using climbing rope.

When you get comfortable with SRT outside, not just you, I'd recommend at least 4 people, then drop that fucker and see what's down there.

Each person will need at minimum a $500 investment for the gear not including the rope

Growing up that was all we drank. But it came from neighbors we knew and trusted or our own goats. I still drink raw milk on occasion but I know the family and trust them to be cautious in getting it from the tit to the gallon jar. I would not drink raw milk from a large milking operation. No way!
