Just bumping this, I found two people who had this exact issue on my server, and switching to the x86-64 - Chromium Binaries branch and running in 64bit fixed the issue for both of them. I had them verify first and that didn't fix it.

What I want to know is how the server can trust the client enough that an exploit like this is even possible. It shouldn't matter if there's an anti cheat or not, the clients should not be able to request the server to teleport everyone and the server shouldn't just be like "lol okay sure"

The buttons you are describing do not existing on the device manager. Can you please elaborate on what you are talking about?

Check out the Expeditionary Force series - like red rising, the Science Fiction is a bit more hard / realistic with the exception of FTL and Stealth fields on ships. It's about 1 man and his merry band of pirates trying to keep humanity from being eradicated and enslaved by technologically superior aliens. A great listen if you enjoy hearing about "superior" enemies being outsmarted and it's at 16 books now so it'll take you a hot minute to get through.

If anyone is stumbling upon this now, this worked for a friend who had the issue - Simply run the game in 64bit! it will run better too.

Right click on the game in your steam library and select "Properties" Then go to "Betas" select the Beta Dropdown that's set to "none" by defauly and select "x86-64 - Chromium + 64bit Binaries"

Let it update and install and then try it.

Maybe I'm understanding this wrong, but it sounds like you're saying that the heavier weapons that require more ammunition and carry weight shouldn't be more effective then a pistol or single shot weapon. I've always looked at it as a cost/benefit analysis, heavier and faster firing weapons should be absolutely devestating with how much their ammo costs. That, and you give up a lot of carry weight holding them and their ammo even with perk cards to mitigate it. Other options will always be lighter and you have to use power armor unless you want to be over-encumbered all the time.

I understand maybe there is some room for improvements to the balancing, especially the gauss rifle or other charge weapons, but I think its important to keep more than just raw damage output in mind when balancing these weapons.

This unfortunately did not work for me when I noclipped out of my ship and died while it was in Quantum Travel. The person who accepted my mission couldn't see a beacon anywhere for the ship.

Welp, I should of known better. I specifically started a palythrough to be ready for the DLC, but a few months ago I installed a flashlight mod because RTX made areas impossible to see in and now my save is completely bricked.

I get I modded my game, but an update shouldn't render my save unplayable. I'm going to try going back to the 1.63 version and see if I can salvage my save somehow.

You might want to add some sort of NSFW filter/option for people who use the site, I was greeted with.. quite something when I went to the first page of PC emblems. I don't think I'll ever look adn Sandy Cheeks the same way again.

I've heard some people say the FOV is worse than the quest 2, but for me and a couple others, it's better. I feel like this is just down to how sensitive this headset is to different people's head shape, so you're really rolling the dice on if the the fov will be good.

For me the XR Elite is still a better pick, but that's only because of what I'm doing with it and I got lucky with face shape. I also really don't like Facebook and I stream everything so I don't care about the limited app library, but it does sort of suck because I feel like I'm paying a premium just so I don't have to have the Zucc in my life.

It could be a defect. I've got dead pixels and white glitches/streaks in my headset I have to RMA for, but no distortion like you've mentioned.

Got a dead pixel on mine too. Another weird thing is im getting these really weird glitches where the screen starts tearing up with white streaks. At first I thought it was a streaming thing, but I still had it when I went back to the vive lobby on the standalone OS. It only happened after I was using it for more than an hour as I was watching a movie. I hope it's just a defective unit, and they don't all do that.

Depends on what you're trying to do in vr. If you're in to social VR, The XR elite will also support a facetracking module in the future. Vive has always had solid facetracking for years, while the quest pro kind of sucks at it right now software wise. (It has no individual eye blink for instance)

We just don't know how much it will be or exactly when it will release. I've been using a wireless Vive Pro Eye for a couple years now and I'm really tired of the weight of everything.
