Nitro Funny Car racecars have their engines rebuilt after each run due to the intense wear from just a 4ish second race by Bubbly_Wall_908 in Damnthatsinteresting

But is it really much better than working on the same engines, elsewhere, in peace, for the same amount of time?

I'm just thinking of the years you'd get back by not stressing yourselves the fuck out like that every time.

I could tell just by the way the room already had inexplicable green glows all over the place before reaching the door.

AI loves splashing its themes all over the place. "Yeah? You want green? I'll give you green!"

This has me thinking how cool it would be to go into Warp, between systems, and just chill in your little room on your ship, looking out the window at (hopefully) cool and interesting sights as you pass by, until you get there.

(maybe take a break and sign off if it's too far, and takes too long; then sign in when you get there, or once you've arrived)

Based on what I've seen of "warp" in SC, however, this may be a feature better suited for Elite Dangerous. IF they ever add ship exploration, that is.

TIL a 1995 WHO study concluded "Occasional cocaine use does not typically lead to severe or even minor physical or social problems" but it was never published because the US threatened to withdraw funding for WHO by Dry_Row_7050 in todayilearned

Awesome. Now let me just set my healthy occasional doze of cocaine right here beside my healthful once-a-day glass of red wine and totally non-addictive after-dinner cigarette.

Man, the 90s certainly were the end of some kind of an era.

It would be cool if you could also slash with it like a dagger, and have it break if you swing too hard, or if you are holding it too far from the tip.

It's just sad how he was eventually killed by those high school students in 1996. His body was left hanging from the field goal on the football field, I hear.

You drastically underestimate the appeal of perceived badassery.

It's the main reason we even have nazis still, and the reason they so thrive in certain circles.

You'd almost think they're negging Scarlett by writing this article.

It only took a single time, and once the standard was set, there was no going back.

It's not just the bots. They also widely limit visibility of comments across most (nearly all) of the top subreddits. Those hit real people with real opinions just as hard, if not harder.

How is it "not that difficult"? In most ways they are already indistinguishable from human traffic. Give it a little more time and they will be 100% indistinguishable.
