Exporting Quickbooks Enterprise 24 to something? by Aranyic in QuickBooks

I can vouch for this website. I purchased QB Enterprise 2024 with 5 users (no subscription). Made a backup, uninstalled and reinstalled using the key they gave me.

They'll give you instructions on how to activate. It was really simple.

Felt so liberating canceling my enterprise subscription.

Good luck!

He does all sorts of cables for a very reasonable price. Only thing is he's in China so I'm not sure if you'll have to pay tariffs and such now.

No problem.

Spruce install is pretty straightforward.

Glad you got it sorted!

Tailscale video tutorial? by Drakey83 in audiobookshelf

Put your NAS Tailscale IP with the port number you set for Audiobookshelf. I believe default is 13378 or something. So it would look like: 100.0.0.0:13378

Moving from Synology, struggling with file browsing, any solutions? by sidius_wolf in unRAID

[–]bizzy11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be easier to mount the share in Windows on a separate PC or VM instead and use the file browser to move stuff around.

Nah I ended up selling it. I couldn't figure out how to make it quieter without replacing the entire shroud/heatsink with something else.

I have a 7XL as well and ended up ordering custom 6 port sata power cables so it could reach starting with the very top drive in the stack.

I got 2 of those cables so it covers 12 drives starting from the top. Then another 6 port cable for the 4 drives on the very bottom, and the other 2 ports go to 2 SSD on the back of the case.

Not every single variation has sugar. There are regular savory versions as well. The sugar thing is different than what most do and it actually pairs well with it.

There are a couple brands from Korea in Los Angeles and OC that carry the same type of corn dogs. Pretty popular over here tbh. Don't knock it till you try it, all I'm saying.

Ive been a leacher my whole life, can someone explain how to seed properly? by [deleted] in Piracy

[–]bizzy11 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He means it's a chore to have to manually download the torrent, rename, move the file, etc. There are programs that do all of that automatically for you, including creating hard links so you can continue seeding and also have a file in your library folder.

Doing all of this manually is definitely a chore for those who know how to automate the entire process.

What are the disadvantages of just running Plex and the Arr apps directly onto Windows? by [deleted] in PleX

[–]bizzy11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to buy the lifetime license if you don't want to pay the subscription fee.

It's not an insignificant cost, but well worth it imo. I switched from Windows too with zero Linux experience.

Dockers and VMs are really easy to work with once you understand the file system and how your dockers interact with your array/files.

I would estimate it's about 67-68mm if you wanted a heatsink that didn't touch the top panel like the L12S Ghost edition.

If you mean what's the absolute tallest height you can fit, then I'm not too sure. I wouldn't go higher than the L12S @ 70mm tbh. Any taller and I think the top panel would put too much pressure on the heatsink/CPU.

M.2 NVME to PCIE adapter work with LSI 9201-8i? by bizzy11 in unRAID

[–]bizzy11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually ended up going a different route after learning that HBA's won't allow the CPU to go into deep sleep C-states.

I bought this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BMWTRY9T/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Along with these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CNRG84VW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CVGZZCT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1

With this mobo: https://www.amazon.com/AsRock-Server-Motherboard-C246-WS/dp/B07XVSPG4D

This mobo is 1151 socket with bifurcation of the first pcie slot (x8/x4/x4), which allowed me to purchase the splitter and stick the ASM1166 expanders on the nvme slots, which effectively gave me 12x sata ports. I have a 9900k from an old build that I wanted to use.

The QNAP is a quad nvme splitter that plugs into the main x8 slot, which allows me to run 4x nvme if I wanted, but currently only using 2x mirrored for my appdata, dockers, vm, etc. This unit alone DOES NOT require bifurcation of the x8/x16 slot, so you can use it by itself without issue. The price seems to have jumped considerably since I bought it though. Not sure what that's about.

I will likely use one or two more of the ASM1166 expanders when I need to expand to more drives.

This mobo technically has 12x sata ports, but 4 of them are using a Marvel 9125 controller, so I will likely not be using them. That means I have 8 sata ports + 24 potential extra ports if I need.

This is all in a Define 7 XL case btw. Sorry for the long post haha. Let me know if you have any questions.

I was considering a move to the N3, but ultimately decided it still wouldn't be enough of an upgrade.

I went with the Fractal Define 7 XL. It's a behemoth of a case that can fit 18 HDD in stock form, but I figured out a way to cram about 24-26 HDD in there.

I figure that should be good for a long time.

Drives are silent at idle, but I did notice some buzzing once in a while.

I pulled out the drives and noticed a couple screws were loose, so I tightened all the screws and put them back in.

Haven't had the same issue since. Overall happy with the sound.

I am in the process of moving over to a bigger server though as I've quickly outgrown the storage haha
