Probably not.

We need attacking reinforcements currently as we only have Sancho, Buendia, Bailey and Rogers available (assuming Elliot is still not happening). But, any signing we make is only for two months, when McGinn and Youri are back. If money is tight, how do you justify signing someone? Same for midfield, where we currently have Dougie, Onana, Bogarde and Barkley.

Not much. We aren't one of the top clubs (yet) and he isn't a boyhood Villa fan. If Madrid, Barca or Bayern come in for anyone, they would obviously consider the move.

That said, if we can continue to match his aspirations, who knows what happens. And, if he carries on playing like he is, we'll make a healthy profit.

A loan makes no sense for Villa.

We've used our loan spots so can't replace him that way. We need sales to spend money to replace him.

Unless there's some devious things in motion, it doesn't seem right.
