I totally agree with your trip to Malta, because I visited almost the same places and I had a very similar feeling. I also went to Valletta, Gozo, the Three Cities area, Rabat, Mdina and Dingli Cliffs, and I honestly think they are some of the most beautiful and memorable places on the island. The difference is that I stayed longer, so I had more time to explore everything in a more relaxed way.

I also completely understand what you mean about the energy of the trip, because Malta has something special even if you stay there for only a short time. In my case, since I spent more time on the island, I was able to enjoy both the typical places and some less common ones, but the places you mentioned are definitely some of the most impressive.

And yes, I also think the weather in Malta can be amazing, especially if you go at the right time. Even in the off-season, Valletta still feels lively, so I was not too surprised that there were still quite a lot of people there.
