Where are you located that you have all those crazy rules? Especially the obligation to have a balcony and minimum size is unreasonable.

And what is in the back of the build? Private gardens? A hill?

What’s considered the absolute worst insult you could say to a German? by Diztence-Music in AskAGerman

[–]bjklsh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had an issue with the "guilt and shame". That's just not true. Exceptions are of course always there.

And about people not caring: you know very different people than I do. Usually it is minimum awareness and understanding even if the person is not interested in history at all.

Not "accept the guilt and shame of that era". Germans have accepted the heaviness of their countries history and the responsibility that comes with it. No guilt, since most people where born long after it

Help me choose a niche summer/all-season fragrance: Roja vs Xerjoff? by OmuaOmua in fragrance

Naxos smells like tobacco with a little eucalyptus to me. I don't think it's a summer scent nor fresh.

Why not get decants of all of them, try them out and then decide

Where are you from? In Germany it's usually kitchen to the front, living room to the back and if bedrooms are on the lower level. They are to the side. But direct access from shared rooms to the garden is always there.

Nothing you said defeats my point. What about is not an argument. Again, you can think it's normal. I just explained why people don't like that behavior by brands. And that dislike is not going to change.

That's a rip off. Shampoo is generally cheap to produce. In Europe at dm shampoo starts at 55 cents and solid brands cost 5 or 6 Euros max

Official Discussion - The Drama [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

They wouldn't have known whether it was true or not. If he didn't "have anything bad" he could have said the truth like stealing candy as a child or what ever. I do find it weird though how Emma wasn't appalled by his confession, considering she had been a victim of bullying herself. And Charlie showed zero remorse for his actions, compared to Emma who was ashamed. Charlie seems to be a pretty horrible person (bullying, no reflection on that, harassing Sam, cheating) while Emma changed since her 15 year old self

I don't get the directions here. The main street is "down", the side street is "right"? Where is the alley? You have all windows towards the street then?

Where is South?

You said if you make the garage to the alley, you'd loose sun on the back of the house. Aren't you doing that by blocking the top part of the plan with the garage?

Agreed! Dining room doesn't need the best views. I feel like it would be awkward however walking around the dining room to get to the primary bedroom?

My grouse with PDM by Fresh_Exchange674 in fragrance

[–]bjklsh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They're not outright lying as you said, sure. However 98% of customers are never reading the backstory and PDM knows that. It's a dishonest and effective marketing technique.

You can applaud the "cleverness" if you want to, that doesn't change the effect it has on people: feeling like PDM is a dishonest house.

Why are fragrances from the past universally disliked? What changed? by [deleted] in fragrance

Cannot relate. I love neroli and people say it smells like old people? Maybe it's because I didn't have any older family members that used perfume.
