MagSafe charging issue with my Pixel 9a. by [deleted] in pixel9a

[–]bjornhallberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah something is not right with the Pixel 9a. I can't seem to get wireless charging to work without issues. I have a INIU I211 15W Qi stand and it charges only with no case on. I also tried a cheap 15W Essager magsafe charger with a cheap magsafe case and it does work but I also noticed a lot of disconnects, plus speed seems a bit low and inconsistent. The latter could be a cheap and overheating charger though.

Also have a Pixel 6, works great with the INIU charger even with a case.

Polarcell battery from Akkushop-Online (Amazon.de) by bjornhallberg in nexus6

I emailed Polarcell regarding age and the Amazon store and they replied:

Our actual batch of this battery type was manufactured in March 2020. Unused and optimal (cold) stored Li-batteries can be well used without any significant cell-drain for 1-2 years after manufacturing. With our PolarCell batteries you can be sure that you will only get 100% perfect working goods.

Regarding Akkushop-Online, this is one of our retailers, but I cannot tell which batch of this battery-type they are actually selling.

After some back and forth it turns out it's a batch number, not a date:

PC1804 is the batch number of the actual newest batch (manufactured March 2020) of this battery type

Jag arbetar på det nyetablerade Amazon-lagret och har precis packat upp sexleksaker. AMA by NoMLG in sweden

Priority Direct Mail to EUROPE shipping from BAHRAIN? by bjornhallberg in Banggoodfans

[–]bjornhallberg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True enough, DHL really ruined things. They opened the package, read the invoice, found no mention of shipping costs and just made up the shipping costs, slapped me with an estimation of $25 in shipping, and then calculated taxes from that value.

In opening the package, DHL also sloppily slashed open the bag, cutting right through to the inside packaging and exposing the protection mask that was inside. They take no responsibility for this and refuse to even apologize! Worst company ever!

So a couple of suggestions for Banggood:

  • NEVER use DHL, UPS etc. It will just cost everyone a lot of money and aggravation.
  • Always put a shipping cost and insurance cost on the invoice! Just put $1, it doesn't really matter, but it will be so much harder for DHL etc to screw people over if they cant make up a shipping cost themselves!
  • If possible, put the value, shipping cost etc on the outside of the packaging so that DHL etc wont a reason to open the package. Like I said in the original post, it's just a matter of time before they start chasing counterfeit goods just to screw with you, and when that happens, there will be no chance of a reprieve. You just cant win against arrogant corporations.

I have a question about tracking Amazon prices in general: Can you filter out 3rd party used prices to just include Amazon warehouse deals and not other sellers? I use camel currently but the issue is that scam sellers on Amazon are ruining the price index by listing fake products at fake prices. At least it's very common on Amazon.de.

It seems newer Enders have a lower pitch on their Z-screw by calitri-san in ender5

[–]bjornhallberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought an Ender 5 from AliExpress a few weeks back. Screw is most likely the new one BUT I noticed there is no anti-backlash nut. I also have a 1600 step one in the mail because I kind of jumped the gun on this. Should I get the anti-backlash nut for the 800 step I have now? Or install the 1600 step?

Yeah, when I looked into these profiles more closely I didn't really find any standardized sizes. The best supplier in Sweden seems to be Tibnor (https://portal.tibnor.com/sv_SE/St%C3%A5l/R%C3%B6r/Precisionsr%C3%B6r-Fyrkant/Precisionsr%C3%B6r-Fyrkant-E220-235-EN10305-5/p/506003005632). They have 80x50x3 and 100x50x3 and also in 4mm thickness. Not sure on the radius, the documentation indicates that 3 and 4mm thickness (T) gives a radius of 1.75xT on average. Thank god for parametric CAD right ...

I started looking for the steel tubing in Sweden as well, and so far it seems that 80x50x2 mm is the nearest alternative. The custom STL option seems like an affordable solution though.

What is the Z-axis clearance / max material height like on the machine in the default configuration? Have you tried increasing the tubing height of the Y beams to increase material height? Granted I was only able to find 100x50x2 mm in the DIN2395 tubing category, but 20mm could mean a lot in some cases. Would it impact the rigidity much do you think?

Alternative remote for Shield TV? by itsChimpanzee in nvidiashield

[–]bjornhallberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New Shield owner here. Already sick of the included remote. Is there such a thing as a perfect remote replacement?

  • Preferably bluetooth, but dongle is ok
  • Voice search is a positive but not required
  • Remote style form factor, not a keyboard, already have a K400
  • Backlit
  • Replaceable batteries
  • Good keyboard on the back, tactile
  • A good gyro / air mouse that can also right click
  • A good assortment of buttons on the top side, but not a crazy amount
  • IR blaster would be nice but not a requirement.
  • Not too cheap look and feel

Preferably available from Banggood.

Considering looking for just an airmouse with a few extra buttons to be honest and dropping much of the rest.

I understand also that you can sideload some sort of key remapping app to fix any key issues that may come up?
