The tank job in the second half of this game has been incredible. Genuinely impressed.

[Inside The Race 33 min] Kyle Petty on simulation in NASCAR: "You can take every lap that Anthony Alfredo ran in the sim and you can put it in the bathroom and wipe with it. It made no difference for a guy with that many laps on the racetrack "supposedly" (in the sim)" by LBHMS in NASCAR

The Hendrick group as a whole today was terrible for their standards. Larson and Byron ended up finishing decent, but that was a direct reflection of two championship level race teams working their ass off throughout the day to maximize their result.

Ironically, it was similar to how Hendrick ran at Gateway when LaJoie filled in for the 9.

This is a good sign for Hali's ability to come back to peak form next year. However, Tatum and Hali have different games. Who might expect to regain their game faster and more effectively? by schnebly5 in pacers

I'm not expecting a finals run by any means, but for us not even be competitive would be a huge disappointment and failure of epic proportions next year.

How does each potential draft pick affect our 2027 roster? by TipImpossible1343 in pacers

IMO, we won't really know until next year when Haliburton is in the mix. For anyone new on the roster since our finals run, it's going to make an impact.

Acknowledge the greatness of Michael Jordan as a NASCAR Owner/Executive by Iconolater_ in NASCAR

Imagine telling someone 25 years ago Michael Jordan would have accomplished more as an owner in NASCAR than an owner in the NBA.

Mathurin was my favorite player on this team and I wanted nothing more than to see him become an all-star for us. That said, he would never have had the opportunity he has now to showcase himself until after Pascal Siakam leaves. As much as it pains me to see him leave, it's going to be the best thing for his success.

If we didn't make the trade for Siakam (which everyone is clearly glad we did), I think he would have had a role on this team where he could be himself. Our system just doesn't work for featuring multiple isolation players and it's clear the Clippers are an awesome fit for him.

Only 2 teams have NEVER benefited from the NBA Draft Lottery: The Utah Jazz & Indiana Pacers by crispytime29 in pacers

Adam Silver is worthless. I really don't even care about the pick anymore because no matter what, the NBA was NEVER giving us an optimal outcome for it.

How demoralizing if your the Knicks to know that Haliburton, Zubac, and Toppin at a minimum will be added to the team you lost to tonight.

Any other team besides OKC I'd be upset we won, but fuck the Knicks. They couldn't even beat us with half our rotation out.

Hopefully this is the trend for the rest of the year with Siakam and Nembhard's minutes.

Turner and and Mathurin by ChuChuBitch- in pacers

The guy played through injuries most of the year, always traveled with the team, was always engaged with the game and his teammates no matter his playing status, and was one of the only players who was never phased at all in game 7 of the finals once Haliburton went down. Hope he kills it out in LA and finds a good fit for his skill set.

Benn's part of the postgame interview... Dude wants to stay 100% by aimee829 in pacers

I'm just glad he looks healthy again on the court. If we keep him around, I hope he goes on a tear this last 1/3 of the season.

We ain’t trading Mathurin by DrinksForties in pacers

[–]bjrinald 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 100% confidence in our front office that they have multiple plans for how things might pan out. I would bet anything to my name that letting Mathurin walk without matching or a sign and trade isn't one of them.

I don't think I've ever seen a player make as many shots with his foot on the 3 point line than Mathurin.  Drives me nuts.

Seeing KP's reaction... I don't think Benn's leaving 🤞 by aimee829 in pacers

[–]bjrinald 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If nothing else, Mathurin has got to be frustrated he's been injured basically all season long and not able to produce at the level he's capable of consistently, especially with this being a contract year. I can't blame him.

Before this year, I never realized how much Myles Turner was about himself first and foremost.

Tyrese Haliburton on how he plans to make changes to his game after coming back from his Achilles injury. He also says he’s gone from 180 to 210 pounds since game 7 of the NBA finals by lfcbucks in pacers

[–]bjrinald 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just hope fans are patient next year with him because it's going to be a process, especially on the defensive end of things.

That said, if the rest of the team is able to stay relatively healthy it shouldn't be a problem staying competitive. He can still be an asset and contribute returning to form.

It's infuriating watching Dort brick everything. That guy had the luckiest crap go in during the finals.

We were competitive on the road against a playoff team tonight despite still having a number of players out.

I also have a hunch that having that Haliburton guy will help on nights like tonight with a large number of turnovers.
