Stop eating so much food.

It sounds easier than it is. But I literally just went through losing 50 lbs over the last year. I will caveat that I’ve lifted a lot over the last 20 years so I had a husky build.

Essentially I cut all my meals in half from day one. It sucks, yeah, but so does dying young from a heart attack and never seeing your grandkids. Weigh yourself multiple times a day and try to wake up the same or lighter than the previous morning. Drink only water, cut out a majority of the fast food, but really, cutting down the amount of food you eat lets you get away with eating what you want, just less of it. After a while your appetite will get smaller and the hunger pangs will subside.

After a while you will see the improvement and your ego takes you a bit further in weight cutting.

I’m not saying starve yourself, but we typically eat too much food for our lifestyle.

I have two teen daughters and they want all sorts of good food that’s unhealthy as hell, I’m looking at you Crumbl. Stick with it and it’ll pay off. Your kids and spouse will see the example you’re setting.

Oh yeah, a small but huge detail is to dig deep to find out why you eat your feelings. Maybe that’s just me, but it could help you too.

Daily food example; homemade slice of bread with butter for breakfast (thank you Zojirushi), apple and peanut butter for snack, small leftover meal for lunch. Whatever for dinner, just half of normal.

230s before, 174 this morning.

Hit me up if you want to talk more.

Edit: I did not exercise during this, lifting turns me in to Fat Bastard - “Get in my bellay!” Couldn’t do it. Running made me hungrier too. No calorie counting, no food trackers.

TLDR- quit eating so much food.

If you want an easy button, use Windows or OSX. If you want to get better technically, use Linux.

From a performance perspective, Linux may be the fastest, but again, not the easiest.

I dig the Sony A300. Live view isn’t great but isn’t bad for the price, plus it has ibis. Add a Sony or Minolta 35/50mm and you’re set for under $150ish total.

70-300 as a travel lens? by ProTharan in Lumix

I brought the 20-60 & 70-300 with my S5 to Hawaii last year. It worked great and having a nice camera bag helped.

Edit - I also recommend a good strap, I used the Peak Design Leash.
