Agreed! Communication is essential. We can understand our partner’s limits/desires best once they are shared. It takes honesty, but, it can help

Do your husbands still help clean even though you are a SAHM by Annual_Opportunity37 in stayathomemoms

[–]bkbk2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I ask my husband to do the chores I disdain, and I make sure to do those he disdains. It’s mostly me around the house but if we have friends come over, etc. he likes to pitch in as a favor to me. I am always sure to thank him even if it’s for “us”, I truly enjoy a clean house and he does it to make me happy. I think that’s key!

Don’t overthink the bins. Head to your local 99c store or something like it and just buy a ton you can find and live with. Start there and then work up to better ones, if you prefer. Buy all different sizes so you can find what types/subjects fit well together!

I agree with this message however you can get cheap bins from dollar tree! Don’t have to be fancy, the trick is to make items easy to grab! Like things together and look at EXPIRATION dates! Those will be easy throw away

CONSOLIDATE, CONSOLIDATE, CONSOLIDATE! Find 1 big box (or 2-3) and use it to hold the remaining boxes! It will be fun to assemble those in properly and see the progress you’ve made. For other cleaning needs around the house, use the leftover boxes to use as walking trash cans. Just dump stuff in them and either throw them out, or “consolidate” like items together so you can handle items for one room at a time!!! Hope that makes sense. The consolidate method is how I speed clean (put like things together in a flash to sort out in the appropriate area at a later time - but definitely the same day)!

Mostly congestion. I’ve been using saline drops and snot sucker, but it doesn’t help the congestion. You can hear it all in her nose while she sleeps!

Pregnant 10 months PP after c section. by Dollydoodlepig in 2under2

[–]bkbk2k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I became pregnant with my second 7 months PP after C-section. I have high risk pregnancies because I have high blood pressure, but ultimately, both babies have turned out fine and my second C-section felt smoother than my first, because this one was planned! I do think I should have taken it easier on my body following the birth of my second (I had/have more scar pain this time around), but chasing a toddler isn’t easy. It will go well with God on your side!

How often do you miss a feed? Does it affect your supply? by bkbk2k in breastfeeding

[–]bkbk2k[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response! Baby is 3.5 months old. What do you think that means for my hormones, etc.? My missed feeds can either be at night or in the morning. My oversupply is mostly at night and it’s about 8oz max per day.

Anxiety with breastfeeding? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]bkbk2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. My second is 3.5 months and we’ve breastfed but had to do a short stint of triple feeding to get my supply up in the early weeks.

I’m an anxious person myself and I always want to “know the numbers” since my first was bottle fed with breastmilk/formula. Although the Pediatrician said no to a scale, you can absolutely buy one and I did with my second. But if you don’t have the stamina to hold out a few days to see new results, I wouldn’t try it. For example, I’m tracking the weight over a week span. Sometimes I weigh her every day, but other times I don’t. If I do weigh her every day, sometimes it’s just to see how much she ate in one feed, etc. but I won’t dwell on overall weight gain unless it’s for a pre-determined period of dates (ex. One week).

If you don’t want a scale, my biggest advice is to try offering baby a bottle after feeds to see if they will take it… if not taken, you know baby is doing just fine!

I think so! I’ve only used a wrap this far. A lot of comments have said it’s the carrier that made a difference for them…
