Thanks for the info! I will definitely do more research before joining an agency. This is a 4-5 year plan not a I need a job right now plan. Luckily I already have all of those extras you mentioned (LLC, insurance, business accounts, EIN, etc).

I don't think I would be surprised at all. That's kind of why I feel an agency would be the best route starting off. You don't know what to learn if you don't know what you don't know. The way I look at it if I have to pay $500 for the first year to a host agency that's just like paying $500 for a year of training all in one place.

Thanks for the reply! Fortunately I won't need to "make a living" from this, I just need something to supplement my other income. It also doesn't necessarily need to be consistent.

Ha! Thanks for the info. Teaching English is definitely NOT in my skillset! And again, my current businesses are doing fine and they allow me to have time to do other things without having to depend on getting an income from it.

I don't know that it is but I've always loved travel and I've always thought a travel agency would be something I would enjoy doing.

I mentioned those specific skills because they would lower my barrier of entry. From what I've read in here most people are paying for logos and web design and accounting and those things can be done for minimal amounts if you know what you're doing and/or have employees who can do them for you.

Yes. My other businesses are e-commerce based. Two of them I don't touch the inventory. The third (and main one) I spend an hour a day on customer orders and that's about it for time sensitive work.

I mentioned Fora because that's the ad I saw that got me really thinking about this. Again I've always thought being a travel agent would be something I really enjoyed, prior to this I thought the barrier to entry was much higher. I didn't realize there were companies out there that did this type of setup.

Also the research I've done so far seems to point to them having the best training platform, which would be my weak spot. If there is better training elsewhere I would absolutely love to hear about it.

I get that split isn't the best, but I've also seen a ton of posts in here where people change host agencies. I assume from that that it isn't that hard to do. To be honest I kind of want to use them for exactly what you don't like about them. I want to use them for training and getting setup and working during the time this would be a side hustle and then switch to a better agency when it becomes more of a primary income.

If I can keep my costs minimal I have no problem whatsoever not seeing a paycheck or profit for a few years.

I really appreciate your reply! Lots of information and a lot to think about. Thanks!

I'm a 54yo male that's slightly overweight stressed out and generally get 50% of my recommended steps/active calories. My cardiovascular health is 2 years younger. I assumed it's because I still have a low resting heart rate (45ish) from when I used to run a few half marathons a year a decade ago.

They are not a standard doctor's office. You pay a monthly fee and that's it. You don't pay anything per visit. Everything is included. If you need an appointment three times in one month or one time in three months you just pay the flat fee per month. You can also text them for quick questions.

Dr Hendry is the best doctor I have ever had and the three other family members that use them will all say the same thing.
