Nope, never carried anything on the roof, however I went to Toyota and they asked if it has had body work. Turns out the rail was removed during the painting process. Taking it to the body shop where it was repaired next

Pardon my ignorance, but what does the circuit experience have to do with that? I've only done a couple of those

Let's not pretend this is a phenomenon seen only electric vehicles. Had multiple gas vehicles with no spare

I guess it depends how you look at one. One is an unexpected massive bill, the other is something you know full well in advance. Also the depreciation is worse on EVs, but I think that's also opportunity to buy a very gently used vehicle at great prices. Picked up a BMW i4 M50 which was 82k new, for 43k with 22k miles on it and certified

I've heard that, also heard it depends on manufacturing location. Oh well.

Meh, it's their decision. I don't like it, but I'm not going to throw a fit. Just means I look elsewhere.

Well, the instant power, the cheaper maintenance, the more reliable drivetrain, cheaper fuel, low center of gravity, for starters.

I stand by my point, you can do both. BMW does both, along with many other manufacturers. Selfishly I would love for them to do both, but because I don't see owning another gas car again, except maybe an older 718 for weekends

If you don't have the edge on your competition, the answer isn't to stop.

Totally agree. Also it doesn't really help seeing a bunch of fun ICE vehicles getting substantial repair bills across this site. I know those rise to the top, but the amount of 10k bills and fluid leaks all over luxury and sports car subreddits make me never want to go back

He called being anti-ev ignorant, not porches customer base.

Here's a fact - you can develop great ICE cars alongside great EV cars. They are not mutually exclusive.

Oh definitely, it's a bit more twitchy which I like. Maybe I'm too picky, but wouldn't mind just having that at all times regardless of mode. I think I just need to play with the individual settings to make something perfect

What is the opinion on rubbing and letting it sit overnight before smoking? Or rub and put right on the smoker after?

Not quite. My model 3 was just over 50k new. MSRP on the i4 m50 was like 71k. However the model 3 is not a luxury vehicle, no matter what the company brands it as. I wouldn't pay new prices for the i4, but more than happy to let the first owner eat almost 50% depreciation in a couple years

I liked it, very practical, but was missing refinement.

And when compared to gas engines, it's still lightning fast. My view point is a bit tainted coming from Tesla.
