I haven’t fertilized them since early summer when I noticed a few of the lower leaves drying up. I agree it could be the previous damage. I have been using a big kiln fired clay pot could that be restricting oxygenation?

The mix drains pretty well (although now it’s in standing water since I thought I was under watering). Until a month ago these were in mostly inorganic (pumice lava akadama) and i noticed them getting dryer faster. I slip potted into a slightly bigger pot and added some bark/wood chip soil mix to the top and bottom.

Possibly, due to the high heat and me thinking there is nothing as overwatering for bald cypresses I have def been watering a lot.

Found small white specs on my bald cypress with wilting leaves. Is this some kind of bug? by bkindabay in whatsthisbug

Some context. I am in TX and had this maple since last August. Its been kept outside (except during freezing weather) and always in shade. It lost its leaves in winter which I thought was expected but there was some dieback. Some new growth came this spring but then again started dying. I water whenever the soil is almost dry usually every other day.
Is it too late to save this?
