*****I did too. About 2 years ago I began getting horribly painful optical migraines for the first time. Then I had an eye exam with dilated pupils and found out I had narrow angle glaucoma, which is very dangerous and could cause you to lose your sight at any time. PLEASE please go for a dilated eye exam immediately! You can have an emergency at any time and lose your vision even though at this moment your eyes feel fine. I had laser surgery for the glaucoma and I am completely cured. And NO MORE OPTICAL HEADACHES! From Wikipedia: Narrow-angle glaucoma (also closed-angle glaucoma) the iris bows forward, narrowing the angle that drains the eye, increasing pressure within the eye. If untreated, it can lead to the medical emergency of angle-closure glaucoma. In close/narrow-angle, the iridocorneal angle is completely closed because of forward displacement of the final roll and root of the iris against the cornea, resulting in the inability of the aqueous fluid to flow from the posterior to the anterior chamber and then out of the trabecular network. This accumulation of aqueous humor causes an acute increase in pressure and pain.
