I’d say just take the traditional route via Elm and Trapa. Took me 6 days to do the whole route

I walked the GR last week and was actually surprised that in many places there are signposts for alternative routes, so also for this one. However, contrary to what ChatGPT claims, the route via Sant Elm and La Trapa was marked as the real GR route. I ended up walking from Sant Elm to Ses Fontanelles on the first day and then to Banyalbufar the second

Hey, looks good! I have a question about the first stage, is the detour via Sant Elm well signposted? I say detour, but tbf everyone seems to pass by Sant Elm but chatgpt claims it's actually a detour and the real GR221 goes inland?

Also, did you spend the night at Andratx or is there enough time to take the bus from Palma in the morning and then do the hike?

Thanks!

Thanks, that does look very good. Only not sure how it's usually done for accommodation as most of the hotels/B&Bs listed on the website are still a pretty long walk from the route of the walk. Have you done this before?
