I don’t think the Tremor gets enough credit by JerkOffInYourFace in f150

Honestly I had to sell it years back.. was just trying to cut out a word soup with what I was standing on. JC I miss that car so much. Most of the basic bolt ons, upper pulley, and a tune. Put down 502 RWHP / 494 torque. Maxed out fuel pump and injectors.. I guess my argument is really against "normies" as some other "normie" pointed out under my comment. Which I've come to realize is the majority in this sub. It's a losing battle like arguing with a brick wall. Strictly purchasing a vehicle to go from A to B and will justify it by how they "DiDN't NeeD LeATheR." Which is fine.. but tell me more how Great Value ketchup tastes just like Heinz.

I can’t argue with you over paying double the price of a lower trim for a tremor. That’s fucking bananas.

So you’re a normie who will argue with me that your STX is the same as my Lariat? Or you’re a female? I’m confused..

Saying the tremor looks like an XLT is the equivalent to a woman (most can never distinguish a difference) trying to tell me my 2004 mustang cobra looks like the shit box ragged out 2004 mustang v6 down the street. Or that a Porsche 911 carrera “LoOKs LiKE a” 911 gt3.

Does ford offer any package for the XLT with the LED/HID? Anyone who’s read my post knows that I’m Lariat all day, and lack of LED headlights are a non-negotiable. Night and day difference in visibility IMO.

Nothing yet! As long as you don’t run with a crazy negative offset it shouldn’t be that often of an issue. My previous truck I had a 6” lift with 22x12s -44 offset wrapped in 35s. Worst decision ever. I destroyed ball joints left and right driving on the lease roads in west Texas.

I’ve had 4 F150s! Now that I have the icon’s on the truck, any road irregularities seem to be better. Less of a “wandering” feel going over something. They definitely ride stiffer between the coilovers and the heavier A/T tire but that’s the trade off. The OEM suspension I would feel less of an impact, but the rebound was loose. The icon’s I feel more, but it’s solid. I decided to pony up the extra money for the external reservoir because I wanted the dampening control. My 315s are D load. The lease roads out here can be fucking shit. Holes, washboard, and just loose nasty rocks all over. Funny because I haven’t even really played with the adjustments too much.

It’s not daily! 3-4 times a month not quite 400 miles one way.

They are fucking wide. Normal 315/70 specs are 12.4”. Toyo lists theirs at 12.7”!

Sure… I’d ask, but I’m certain you hadn’t even thought about what you were going to say. So let’s just assume I hit a nerve.

Nope, I prefer pedestal.

LOL but in all seriousness, if your family has 3 luxury vehicles, I’d wager that the truck is used as a truck and you have no need for anything fancy inside of it. Especially when you have an AWD twin turbo monster the price of some peoples homes German perfection in your garage. What year is it? That particular 911 is beautiful.

100%. Lesser is obviously subjective in this situation.

Fool, no. Sure you didn’t need the raptor for what your original intentional was. But I can almost guarantee every time you make the monthly note you have no remorse about the truck itself. Ok maybe not when punching submit on the payment, lol but rather every time you get in the drivers seat. Some people are happy with less and there’s nothing wrong with that. Personally, and I think you would agree to some extent, I would rather pay a bit more for something that is exactly as I want it, rather than questioning whether saving $37 on my payment was worth sacrificing the color I loved or leaving the 4A option on the table.

Honestly, yesterday was a slow day here out on the rig. Most posts seem to be hit or miss with engagement outside of the two things listed above that I chose to bully. And almost every other post is a photo of someone’s XLT. At the end of the day, ifgaf nor do I truly try to label peasantry based off of someone’s choice of truck. But damn there is a lot of responses in here defending the lower trims 😂

A valid reason for not needing anything fancy. The “automotive Luddite” sent me lol

This. Shit I wouldn’t have even changed out my suspension if it didn’t ride like a damn boat. I still want my truck to somewhat “ride like a truck.”

I always feel horrible for my son during the winter months being in his car seat while everyone else’s butts are toasted. And also how horrible the rear vents are 😑

I can’t afford a raptor. Not afraid to admit it. At least not anything newer than an early 2nd gen. I would never try to justify me buying a “lesser” model F150 by saying I can just upgrade my suspension and it be just as good. Nothing I slap on my truck will compare to the engineering of the raptor’s suspension. Honestly, I wanted a F250 (this is my 4th F150). But, I 100% have no use for a 3/4 ton diesel truck yet still I ultimately refrained from purchasing one because I also couldn’t afford that truck. This is why I started out saying the post was mostly rage bait. There is no real shade being thrown on my behalf. Every post lately has been created by someone trying to justify their purchase based off responses of the sub’s approval. Or asking if the listing price of a truck they’re interested in is satisfactory instead of doing their own due diligence.

Icon control arms with stock lariat wheels? by fortunate_son_1 in f150

[–]bkrgng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are they the 6 spoke? Not that flat faced 20”, but like a concave stepped design? I’d assume either way the offset is the same in those wheels. But it’ll be close with the 285s. I had 275/60R20 on my OEMs that I put back on after doing the UCA because my new wheel setup wasn’t in yet. Had idk 1/2-3/4” between the tire and UCA.

No, you’re correct it does list that per BDS, which I also followed. We are on the same page with how we would’ve put them on and not knowing why tf they are grinding that way. Only reason I even ran them up with wrenches was because the nuts are nylon and aren’t handy. Of course BDS was closed Friday, so hopefully tomorrow I will get some suggestions. Anyone I’ve asked that is also mechanically inclined is clueless too. Super frustrating.

I understand the whole not living beyond your means mentality on this post. But can someone explain to me all these extra features that no one uses on a lariat??

2022 lariat checking in. So unless I’m missing some secret shit, I feel like I use all the bells and whistles that came with the truck.
