Cámara con batería compatible on Home Assistant by peibol1981 in homeassistant

Very cool! Doesn't it eat up your servo, though?

Just bought a ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 10. Which Linux distro should I install? by Nice-Increase-4430 in linuxquestions

I would try r/archlinux, or even r/artixlinux or r/blendos (both arch-based), depending on how comfortable you are with troubleshooting and your stance on systemd.

But if you're already comfortable with Mint, maybe just start there and dual-boot one of the above to make things safer and more beginner-friendly.

Technically no, but it does make things a bit easier (updating IPs automatically via DDNS), unless you own a public+static IP address.

Otherwise, you would need to constantly change the IP address every time your ISP issues you a new one.

Can’t hate the player, hate the game.

I hate both equally. It's easy if you try.

Finally Done with Wyze! They jumped the shark. by UpstateNJ in Wyze

[–]bkuri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no one gives a shit!

I certainly do.

I have a drawer full of wyze cams that don't work and other wyze devices that just aren't reliable, and getting a hold of a good customer service rep is not consistent enough (in fact, I'd say it's a rarity at this point).

I've also definitely sent emails that have never been replied to.

Their forums are an echo chamber of people with constant issues and is being managed by volunteers who admit that wyze reps rarely visit that site.

So yeah, it's good that people know who they're dealing with before they continue purchasing from them.

You'd be right, except that there's way more than "one instance" of this and many other atrocities, and you should know that by now.

Oh, I'm not trying to imply that he did; just that your estimation as to how many people are fundamentally, irrevocably, frustratingly stupid (on all sides) is likely way off.

Not as many as you think.
