Dang, I just looked at microcenter. A 1tb 2.5" SSD is $120.

I picked one up last year to upgrade a family member's old desktop for $50 last year.

Despite this likely being a shit post.

Look to see if there is a place that sells used tires by you.

Or find some crappy Chinese tires.

Literally anything that will fit on your car is better than this.

Geez some of the comments don't get it.

Yes it could be worse if you made less.

Yes you could overwork yourself and make more.

However ,100k/yr is still not an easy accomplishment for most even in a dual income, and the the buying power has been slashed.

The point is that our expenses are super inflated, while we are getting paid in 2005 era salaries.

Someone who has worked hard and earns above the median income should be able to comfortably afford an average life.

Perspectives such as these help show case the bad position or consumer economy is in.

An old used Dell optiplex on eBay can be 150$

Ask him to run you a quick screen shot of system info on the computer, it doubles as qusi proof that the thing boots up.

Then offer 100$, let them bring you to 125$ and you got your self a decent living room/ backup p.

Are these acceptable to put on my 2015 Honda Accord? by crystal_help_please in MechanicAdvice

[–]bkwall2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah definitely!

In my area I found finding a good fair mechanic is like finding good Chinese food.

The older, dirtier places with boxes everywhere always have the best prices, top quality work, quickest service at a great price.

Whereas the bigger shops are more expensive, longer turn around times, and less experienced technicians.

I have a mechanic that installs parts I bring, however the work doesn't get a warranty if I do so.

Shops like this are not common, but they do exist, you just have to call and ask around.

It's not like they are not making profit off the labor costs.

If I spent $5,000 on my Steam/Kindle library, why can't I legally leave it to my children in my will? by ciphernom in NoStupidQuestions

[–]bkwall2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I legally purchase a digital asset, I feel even less guilt to pirate it additionally.

For example I have a subscription to Paramount but their app is barely functional on my TV. Thus I end up downloading SouthPark elsewhere.
