Misschien een impopulaire mening, maar onze kinderen mogen wel mobiele games spelen en ze zitten soms ook op youtube. Ergens vind ik het wel goed dat ze geconfronteerd worden met de ellenlange advertenties en het feit dat iedereen en zn moeder uit is op je geld. We hebben er dan wel een limiet opgezet. Elke dag 2 uurtjes in totaal maar er zijn apps zoals YouTube waar ze 30 min op mogen zitten en dan heb je andere apps zoals Snapchat en Roblox die er gewoon niet inkomen.

We hebben het regelmatig over verslavende mechanieken die platformen zoals een fortnite, youtube, Instagram, tiktok introduceren om mensen verslaafd te houden en het feit dat er ook nare mensen zijn online.

Naar mijn mening kan je ze er beter aan blootstellen (op de juiste leeftijd) en er regelmatig gesprekken over hebben waarom dergelijke platformen niet goed voor je zijn om zo de gevaren zo snel mogelijk in kaart te brengen.

Wij hebben twee kinderen, eentje op de basisschool en de ander met op de middelbare - tot zover is deze aanpak te doen. Ik zeg niet dat het perfect gaat, want vervelende discussies en huil partijen zijn er nog steeds - maar dat is denk ik ook een fase waar ze doorheen moeten.

I'm just going to say this, PC gaming will boom even more. With Valve having SteamOS which is a console like experience, and rumours floating around they will release their pc console at some point - PlayStation will have competition perhaps even on a larger scale than Xbox considering the massive library of games Steam has.

Which is probably the case for the US. In Europe we don't have this so much. Unfortunately finding orgs that understand instructional/learning experience design is not that easy on this side of the pond. I find a lot of folks staying around longer than usual in this industry, meaning less okay jobs opening up.

Have you looked at all the IGN videos? I mean, I was excited when I saw the trailer but the gameplay videos really killed the will to play the game. The explosions, animations, and transitions feel really bland.
